A must see of the beautiful buildings in Amsterdam! And you've got to go up to the roof-top cafe to see the view of the city!

Very nice library, huge selection. This is how all libraries should be like. It's absolutely beatiful, not the moldy smell of old books but a light-filled space, inviting you to read something. If you are passing by, get the lift to the seventh floor and walk out onto the balcony; the view of Amsterdam City from the top is incredible. the best... We love libraries, and thought that it would be worhtwhile to visit this one. It's long opening hours made it also an easy visit, they are open every day until 10 PM. It is a very impressive bulding, and it was also very impressive to see how busy it was close to 9 PM. It seemed that people just went... More

Visited this public library on October 8, 2014 in the afternoon when it was cold and raining outside. About 10 minutes walk from the Central Station and next to the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton. This library has glass window and good view over Amsterdam city center especially at the 6 floor and 7 floor with terrace. One cafeteria at... More

This was one of my favourite parts of Amsterdam. It's quite different from any other library I have been to. The open plan style of the library gives it a very open and welcoming feel. The library's collection was something I was absolutely amazed at. They had an entire floor dedicated to just CD's and dvd's. The piano in the... More

It is among Central Starion and Nemo. The inside part of the building is very interesting. The design and the predominance of white colour gives you a relaxing sensation. Do not miss the top floor, where you will have a great view of the city and an opportunity to try the restaurant with many healthy options of food and drinks.

Spacious, lots to offer. The cafe on the roof top was fun and offered a fabulous view of the city and river.

Great new architecture. The people that work at the library are friendly and there is wide variety of books you could read in the library itself. It wasn't possible for me to take a book with me, but there are a lot of quiet places you could go to read. I also played the piano a little bit.

Once it started raining and you are in the area, it is a good option to grab something to read and sit on one of their comfortable pear shaped single couches facing the windows. On the top floor, where the restaurant is located, you have a nice view of the city.
