On this barge resides orphaned and wild cats provided a home by these amazing volunteers. If you love cats, please visit. The felines are extremely well cared for with frequent veterinarian visits and daily scrubbing of the entire area plus love an affection provided by the volunteers. If inclined you are invited to contribute to the cats upkeep.

Don't expect this being a big asylum or a thing like that. The cat boat is rather small. But the thing that really touched me: those little hairy creatures really feel at home. Hats off to those who care for these cats, the cats are so well looked after and seem very happy to call this boat home. It's a joy to be able to sit amongst the cats and listen to their individual tales from the kind people who work there.

If you like cats you will love to visit De Poesenboot on the Singel canal in Amsterdam. Small sanctuary run by volunteers. Beautiful conditions with an excellent homing record. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming.
