We took the guided tour and were very pleased of the service. It lasted 2 hours and we were able to see the main areas of the city with all the explainations. Riding a bike in the city was really a great time. The guide was very kind and very avalaible to answer all of our questions. I recommend this... More

The Dutch are prolific cyclists. So the best way to get around the compact capital and its environs is by bicycle. This company will guide you in groups to all the central places - saving shoe leather and hopping on and off trams! The main advantage is stopping where and when you want for a closer look, a break or... More

We did the 2hr city tour and it was a great way to see the city and get a bit of history from a local. Our guide clearly loved what she was doing and enjoyed telling our group about the city. There was only 12 in our group and all the other groups that left at around the same time... More

When renting bikes, best to take one with shops or repair centres all over the city. We rented withnyellow bike, cycled to Vondelpark, and got a puncture. When we called the answer was to push the bike back 3km to the shop or try and find another company who would repair the tyre, at our cost. Good luck and good... More

We rented 4 bikes to get around the city. The bikes worked out well to get around and to the city's attractions fast. The service was good and very affordable

Didn't do the tour as I was on my own, instead just rented a bike plus a map and went to all the places of interest alone. Only 6 euros to rent the bike for the whole day (until 5pm), that was by far the cheapest way of getting around the Amsterdam in a short period of time. Comes with... More

Two families with two teenagers each makes a group. Private guide as a result. Flexible route on request. Even after two years of weekly professional stays in Amsterdam I learned new things. Don't let a bit of rain stop you. Plastic coats are available for free.

I had such a fun experience cycling through the streets and parks of Amsterdam. Obviously it will not be a fact packed tour as you cannot hear the tour guide as you cycle along. You stop at a number of locations and the guide tells you facts about Amsterdam. So if you are looking for a fact filled tour stick... More

A must do tour in the bicycle kingdom of Europe. The bicycles at yellow bike tours were in good condition and easily recognizable in a city where bicycles far outnumber other means of transportation.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
