This museum has an extensive exhibition on everything to do with the 2nd WW such as vehicles, airplanes, tanks and amphiby transportation. Also old items such as radio equipment, radar equipment etc. is shown and the amazing thing is that everything is located in big hangar type of buildings. The museum is located in the town of Overloon where there... More

Turned up in impromptu, only to find it was the annual Santa Fe weekend. Battle re-enactments, lots of folk in period dress, military history market to buy your trench coat and or tommy gun, simply astounding. Rides in tanks and jeeps over an off road course and a fixed museum that has, amongst an awful lot else, a pinkie and... More

As an American visiting the Netherlands I was most surprised to see the vast collection of U.S., German, British, and other World War II weaponry, equipment, uniforms, tanks, trucks, and boats. The warehouse sized museum took several hours to see and was overwhelming in its scale and attention to detail with recreated living history scenes from WWII including the Normandy... More

I was amazed to see the number of the US trucks and other engineering stuff they have! Especially LARC had completely blown my muind away! Its awesome! Also great arrangements of the stuff into the mini-dioramas, which greatly enhances the experiece. Also amazing collection of the shells and bombs Flaws - not all equipment is signed (actually, very limited has... More

The museum focuses on the battle at Overloon, which was the largest tank battle on Dutch soil. It involved the US 7th armored division and British tanks and was a critical battle in the fight to free Holland from nazi occupation. In addition, the museum does an excellent job of discussing the European theater and in particular, the suffering of... More

Incredibly reach in weapons and feeling, thanks to the sound and reproduction. Two sections: one with nice and rare vehicles (old and new) and the second with emotional touching stories and photos. Go and think about what we own for our freedom and what is happening "around in the globe"

We had visited the Museum to have a look around partly because of the recent anniversaries and partly because of family involvement and to 'pay our respects'. I do not know what I truly expected but I was glad I visited. The museum had a well thought out floor plan and lots of interesting exhibits and information. The second part... More

I saw the museum in conjunction with MILITRACKS. The museum has an extensive display of equipment, some very unique that needs to have a sign as none was present. The vehicle displays need some dedicated work, to make it more like an actual museum display rather than a collection of military equipment. As a courtesy warning to combat vets, the... More

We came here for the vehicles. We were not disappointed. Highlights include an M4/A3, a M36 Jackson, what I believe was an M36 Chafee. A Hetzer, half an Mig 21 pasted to the wall and its engine underneath it. A Spitfire and a Panther. Tons of military service vehicles, too many to mention but one behemoth that bears mention -... I was extremely moved when I visited this museum. It was extremely informative and tells the story in great detail. The equipment has been restored to a high level.
