A lot to see and interesting stories. I visited this with three young boys who enjoy World of warcraft -game and they loved the exhibition.

Professionally prepared, historically interesting, technically well equipped exhibit. For those who are interested about the tanks, guns and technical equipment of ww2. Includes with honor a nice part of local history. Obviously professionally organized and displayed objects with a local actuality. At this city was the biggest tank battle of the Benelux area.

We visited this museum about 2 years ago, absolutely fantastic. Our daughter was 7 yrs old then and she genuinely loved the time spent looking at all the vehicles, machinery and interactive displays in the Marshal museum. All the informational displays were brilliant if you like to do a step by step look through of the war, my daughter did... More

I decided to visit this museum to take some detailed photo of "Hetzer" to build a static model. My trip turned out better than expected. Museum is very well planned and you have a chance to see unique vehicles and artifacts. Many of the vehicles and weapons in the museum are actually used to win the "Battle of Overloon". (Tanks... The informational part of this museum wasn't spectacular. But the room full of vehicles and other artifacts made it more than worth the trip. There are many tanks and other vehicles, many of which were used near this location. Also, some of the vehicles have explanations for how they were used or stories to go with them (e.g. this tank... I visited this museum with my dad and brother who are big fans of history, and they absolutely loved it. If you're interested in World War II, you should not miss it out. Even though I'm usually not a big fan of war history nor machinery, I found this museum very interesting and educative, too. I also couldn't shake off... More

You could definitely make a day trip out of this but it is a lot to take in! No tour, so you can go at your own pace, which is probably best considering the amount of things to read and see! In the first part the museum addresses the origins and evolution of the war as well as the Resistance... More

This museum is huge! especially for Dutch standards. We've spend some time here, almost the whole day. In our opinion this museum gives you a good explanation about the 2nd. World War and what happened to Dutch citizens during the war. We didn't know that there's been such a big fight in and around Overloon. The museum has a large... More

I cycled here from the Heijderbos. The room dedicated to operation Market Garden was really interesting but the rest of the collection not so much - a jumbled collection of war machinery and vehicles.

The National War and Resistance Museum of the Netherlands is located on the site of the Battle of Overloon, a World War II tank and infantry battle between Allied and German forces that occurred in September and October 1944, just after Operation Market Garden. It's a part of Liberty Park and features military vehicles, german and allied. It has a... More
