Cultural centre

Beautiful church that has a real community feel and indeed use. Concerts, light shows, photography exhibitions all feature heavily here.

The church is possibly a most useful landmark while getting around the city. I am glad it's functionality is not limited to just being a church.

Completed in 1867 by P.J.H. Cuypers following gothic principles, this church boasts towers over 70 meters tall; rose windows with wheels symbolising St Catherine; and porches decorated with natural stone sculptures. From the front of the basilican church one can look down and see remains of the extensive archeological excavations that have taken place here, in the run up to... More

If you are in the city centre of Eindhoven you will notice it. There are many shops around and the main street will lead you to the Eindhoven Station. So if you happen to be neareby you may see it, but going to that part of the city is not worth it. It will take you 2-3 minutes to walk... More

It is located on the center of Eindhoven, I have not found this cathedral so beautiful. It is small, there is nothing special with this building.

It is located in an open area after the shopping alley. Quite beautiful to look at. Immediately I saw it I took out my Cam. Never got the opportunity to go inside though. If you walk passed it there are good bars ahead.

Typical church in the city center. The best part is a small exhibit that details an archeological dig that took place at the church in recent history. It displays small finds like jewelry, household items, and human bones. Pretty cool.

Lovely church, loved the section of the old bones and beads amnd china dug up. Also the disease and teeth decay shown in the teeth, these are on show in the church , they were found in The surrounding grounds when they dug up round the church.

Right in the centre, well worth a stop to see the beautiful turrets and impressive gargoyles. We did not go inside but some viewing windows into the crypts below provided a fascinating glimpse of some skeletons!

I was almost 9 years old when i visited the place for the first time.Amazing building, both indoors and outdoors.I was also much intrigued by a fleamarket just around the church where you could find the most interesting stuff.
