The Van Abbe museum is one of a group of modern art museums in the region. Others include the De Pont museum in Tilburg and the SMS in Den Bosch (both +/- 25 km). My impression is that the Van Abbe has lost it's way recently. Their contemporary exhibitions are of largely unknown - to me anyway - artists producing... More

I think it's one of the must-see places in Einhoven but not the whole collection it really good. Some parts are really interesting ans cool. But some are kinda weird and not very interesting. So my advise - if you're not very sure that you like contemporary art - better save money for something other))

A must see place in Eindhoven for everyone even slightly interested in modern art. Few Picasso, Kokoschka, etc. it's just a taste of it!

What a wonderful way to spend a day getting lost amongst a truly eclectic collection of art. Well worth s trip when visiting Eindhoven, I make a point of doing so every time I'm in the city.

Not really my kind of thing. But the museum is very big and has a lot of very modern art. It does have a lot of very interesting pieces of art on display. When we were there, there was a lot of video art

Every once in a while I do visit this museum in the city of Dutch Design. Their international collection is excellent. Bacon, Picasso, Kandinsky, Mondriaan, Dumas, etc.,etc. Lots of variety. Installations, video-art, paintings, statues, drawings. Name it and it's there. Even the elevator has it's own funny artistic sound-atmosphere. Anyway, if you have a chance enjoy being there.

I visit Eindhoven frequently and always stop by this Museum knowing they have a fantastic collection. My curiosity started years ago when I saw their absolute top quality Braque still live in an exhibition in Tokyo. I haven't been able to see it again because it is, whenever I visit it's either in storage or abroad at some show.So it's... More

Nice museum with lot of contemporary arts. You would like it if you are a art lover, at least you have a creative mind. Go with your friends, otherwise it might get a bit boring - like any other museum actually! Good luck!

There are certainly a variety of different 'arts' in this museum. Some of them to me were a complete waste of time and not what I would call art, but the majority were excellent. I think there is something for everyone here, young and old! There were activities for the kids to get involved with, and there are explanations of... More
