An interesting and picturesque town that is not on the tourist map. Luckily it was recommended by a Dutch friend. It has a beautiful cathedral, lovely town square and passageways with open air cafes and bars, I would recommend a day there.

We never heard of 's-Hertogenbosch until booking the car train to Italy, We arrived a few hours before the train departed and took the opportunity to explore the town. We arrived in the town square there was a market and a registry office where it seemed the was a wedding every 15 mins. After a brief look around we found... More

As we drove in, there was some art featuring metal cut-outs of people - some of which also had umbellas. Just had to laugh. The walks over the canals, past the beautiful St Johns Church to the cobbled inner plein are picturesque. One requirement is to have a "Bosche Bolle" (a choux-type pastry filled with cream and topped with chocolate)... More

We drove here to get the overnight car train to Italy, we arrived 9 hours early so had a good look around the city. We hadn't expected such a picturesque, quaint and typically Dutch place. Everywhere was clean and the walks along the river and canals were just what we needed after a long drive. We are contemplating going back... More

What a fabulously picturesque city! The best in Southern Holland that we came across during our tour. Visit the beautiful Saint John's Cathedral - best we have seen. Do the inner city boat tour. It is wonderful and it takes you through all the tiny little canals - many of which take you underneath this ancient city! It was terrific... More

At this tourist office they speak perfect English and are very helpful in terms of looking for things for you to do, providing you with maps, and making this happen for you. It is located in a beautiful restored old building, and they actually have very nice souvenirs on sale that don't seem touristy at all.

One of the best place to spend a quiet Sunday in Holland is to visit this tiny town of Den Bosch. The quiet stroll along the small streets that leads to the Sunday market will lead you first to on of the most beautiful church in Netherlands - the gothic style St.John Cathedral. It is surrounded by lovely sculptures which... More

Highly recommend Zoomers Clothing Store, a truly amazing experience. There are clothes for everyone, the prices are perhaps a little more but the service and quality of the clothes is worth it. Even the change rooms were of a higher quality. I bought some lovely clothes there, the service we got in Zoomers was excellent. Also has a Cafe, we... More
