On the outside the temple seems just austere and average, but once you get inside you feel you are back in time looking at a very impressive architecture.

Basilica of Our Lady was built in 11th century and later received Gothic vaults. It is extremely well preserved and definitely worth a visit.

Historic Basilica in one of Europe's most charming squares in the Maastricht Old Town. Neighboring excavations date back to the Roman period.

One of the oldest churches in Maastricht with the beautiful statue of Mary. The church is definitely worth a visit and, if you happen to be there in May, try to catch the procession with all the pomp and circumstance and old fashioned music bands. An forgettable experience!

The sheer size of this building is amazing , full of historic information (in English) about how its played part in history. It's centred right in the middle of the cities main square, that has numerous events surrounding by cafes.

One of the oldest churches in the Netherlands, dating back to the 11th century. Devoted tot the Virgin Maria. Hundreds of people come here everyday tot lit a candle, in front of her statue . And lots of terrasses on the cozy Onze Lieve Vrouwe Square.
