The Helpoort itself is interesting because it is the old city gate and dates back to the 1200's.
There is a tiny museum inside the Helpoort that I stumbled on by accident. It is hidden in behind one of the towers and only has a tiny sign on the door to indicate there is anything inside. I did really enjoy...

The Helpoort is the old gateway to the city, a small museum exists in one of it's sidetowers, entry to the tower and museum is free.
You can't get better value than that!
The museum guide was very pleasant spoke English clearly and enthusiastically provided a wealth of historical knowledge.
On the level above the museum, is a video room...
