Lovely garden in the heart of town

One of the best manicured garden I have seen. The garden is bang close to Martini church. It is also next to Prinsenhof hotel and restaurant

Very peaceful and well kept garden in middle of the town. Sitting in this garden feels like being in a totally different world. Only trouble is that it's fairly small, so it's no good for a good stroll or something like that.

Absolutely lovely garden! There is a teahouse inside the garden where you can enjoy a cup of tea and the tart of the day while admiring the beautiful surroundings!

Found this little garden (eventually!) maps were a bit misleading! Very pleasant gardens, need to come back when all the roses are in full bloom to fully appreciate it. The day was fairly sunny so we enjoyed a drink and a slice each of the 'cake of the day' in the lovely setting. Well worth a visit, great that there... More

It is located hidden away, accesible from the street alongside the canal on the city-centre-side of the canal, it is on the north-east side of the city centre. You can enjoy the vegetation or have a drink or something to eat. There is a limited amount of drinks and food available.

We stumble upon this garden by accident while walking around Groningen. We were visiting near the spring time so is very nice to take pics of the garden. There is also a small cafe inside of the garden.

This is a nice little walled garden. It had a really impressive sun dial above the entrance but I couldn't figure out how it works as the explanation is in Dutch. It had a seated area and a little coffee shop which is great for a break and to soak it in on a nice day.

Between 10 and 17 h the Prinsentuin is open to the public. We visited at the beginning of spring season, so not all hedges had leaves. You can recognize the letters W A for Willem Alexander, the Dutch current king. There is also a tea house, but that was not open on Sunday the time we visited. I like to... More

A charming garden which is perfect on a fine day to enjoy your sandwiches. In early March there is not much to see, but in Spring and summer it will be a delightful spot when the roses are out. Typically orderly and clean in true Dutch style.

Although I was there in winter and didn't even get to see flowers. HOWEVER the gardens are arranged beautifully and have a special taste when covered by the winter frost. I loved this place and I'm hopeful to be there in summer.
