I love this little garden. A wonderful Sunday morning walk. The roses are blooming and the walk around the garden is so relaxing. There is also a little cafe open even on Sunday morning if you'd like to set and relax.

These gardens are beautiful and well maintained. A peaceful place to walk in. We were staying at the Prinsenhof and visited the gardens everyday during our visit. The tulips were blooming in the garden and the colors were wonderful. The sundial was amazing, to be so old. The walkways are crushed seashell and what appears to be gravel. Easy to... More

These formal gardens and the sundial are really worth seeing. The Prinsenhof Hotel is taking over the catering, which should see some improvement and stability in the summer months (at the moment catering is not available in the winter months). A lovely place to while away some time!

I simply love the prinsenhof. Grown up in Groningen this has always been one off my favourite places to visit. Admitilly the winter isn't the best time to enjoy the rose beds but a nostalgic walk through the hedge tunnels always brings back memories. I was fortunate that it was a sunny winter morning and the sundial was as accurate... More

We stopped in to see the sun dial just inside the entrance, but we wandered the garden anyway. Many of the plants are gone, but there were still some hearty roses and we enjoyed the small, peaceful garden. Not a big attraction in the winter, but the sun dial is worth seeing.

If your visiting Groningen it's a good place to take a rest after walk in the centre of town, it's wherry quiet and beautiful. These gardens where made in the 16th century for the Princes of Nassau. But they did not use them wherry often. In the 19th century the buildings where a French military hospital. The buildings are now... More

I like the aura there... It is very close to the center, you should see it. It has lovely roses and little passages surrounded by plants. Me and my partner took several nice pictures there; it takes 10 minutes to see whole garden. It has a historic

Small nice little garden. Nice flowers and atmosphere was peaceful. Nothing amazing, but it was a nice little stop while bicycling through the city.

A wonderful free way to spend time outside in Groningen. Quick walk or bike ride from the city, gorgeous roses, arbor covered paths, nice huge currant bushes, and famous sundial. Nice place to stroll and relax.
