Nice Parc with a great history ! Wonderful trees and great views to the river the Waal and the Waal Bridge. once there was an enormous castle at this place, the chapel is left ... If you want to work on your fitness .... there are plenty of stairs ... a real challenge.

Nice settings and a lovely atmosphere. The park has different areas what makes it very "exciting" to walk trough the park.

Lovely park, no one does them like the Dutch ! Great view Small, modest, but lovely light , lots of perspectives within it, different entrances and actually there are two parts of it. It is a short walk from town centre and then o n to the riverfront

very old medieval building in park with nice view over te river waal. Is nice but not top. Entrance is free but it is not always open. It is near the centre of the city so just check if its open. you can visit it for about 15 min.

As far as history recalls, this natural ice-age murene has been used as a strategic viewpoint. Different remnants of earlier building are still on site, the restored St-Nicolaas-chapel above all, which is a visitors-centre nowadays and the remnants of the Barbarossa -chapel. This small hill-like park harbours also some WO II german bunkers, of which one is currently in focus... More
