Nice overview of development

This museum gives a nice overview of the development of the bicycle. I think it would look nicer if they gave the bikes more space, which they don't seem to have - but they could... read more

Bikes, famous in Amsterdam also, too much here you find the history of the bike when it still was a luxury vehicle. It's very interesting that now there are more bikes than citizens in Amsterdam so goes the story.

This museum gives a nice overview of the development of the bicycle. I think it would look nicer if they gave the bikes more space, which they don't seem to have - but they could maybe cut down a little on the displayed bikes. If space would permit, I think it would also be an improvement if they would make... More

This is a museum whose collection of bicycles is world class. Exhibits are arranged on three floors, with the earliest example from the 1830s. Britain features strongly from the late 19th century until world war 2 then disappears, a comment perhaps on our post-war manufacruring decline.

This museum is absolutely loaded with charm. Standing slightly outside the town centre (yet only a 5 minute walk), this museum is tucked into a small building that must be ready to collapse under the weight of all its contents. The museum must outdo every other bike museum by at least 2:1 or 3:1 as they seem to hold every... More

I expected to hate this but it was fun and informative. You will probably find your first bike here and have a lot of fun looking at the evolution of the bike. There is a newly discovered city wall next door that's worth seeing too.

This is a very well-organized museum and it contains the most antique bicycles I have ever seen! There is a written guide book in English. We spent an hour at the museum, which was sufficient. The museum has three floors and the typical narrow staircases of this country. I'm not sure if there is an elevator. I learned a lot... More

If you love bicycles, I highly recommend you do not miss this absolutely wonderful collection of antique bicycles and accessories. There are bicycles of every kind--casual riding, riding in style, service bicycles and racing bicycles. Unusual bicycles of all types and sizes.

I would totally recommend visiting this museum when you are at Nijmegen. It will be interesting not only for bicycle lovers (like I am), but absolutely for anyone. Museum is a private collection of bicycles from different epochs. You can see how bicycle changed over time. Be aware that all signs and descriptions are in Dutch. You can take a... More

Holland is all about bikes so it's only logical there's a bicycle museum. We went there with 2 small kids (4 and 6) and it was fun. It's not too big so we were out in an hour or so. It's nice to see how bikes evolved from the 1800s to today. Price is alright so if you're around give... More
