This is the Versailles of Holland, the former home of Dutch royalty. The exterior is somewhat plain, but the interior has a wealth of treasures. The gardens were interesting also. You can learn much Dutch history here. We spent a morning here from a Viking river cruise.

This palace is full of history displayed delightfully in various rooms of the palace. The gardens are lovely. The grounds are great for walking. It's not crowded which is even better. I wish we had more than an hour there. Worth the effort to find and enjoy.

You would expect that this an exhibition tailored to women, but the 9-year old girl and the husband also found it of interest. A day later we were still discussing it as the story of Elizabeth of Austria is fascinating and dark. The organisation caters to the interest of children as well. The exhibition covers her life story, her interests,... More

The Palace was very interesting with majority of information displayed in English. The gardens were pretty and the parkland and lake area very restful. Some areas you needed to be able to walk on gravel but most were wheelchair friendly. The café was clean and had a reasonable choice. The stables contain Carriages and cars but unfortunately these were behind... More

This may of been Willem and Mary's hunting lodge but there was much to see in the 27 rooms that I visited. Many paintings to see, rooms were nice with all of the original pieces and the Dutch Baroque gardens were outstanding. You were able to see things from Willem and Mary's time up to Queen Wilhelmina and Princes Juliana.... More

It was an interesting experience to see the Palace, although it was not as grand as we had been led to believe. In fact, for a royal family, it was a very modest residence. As a previous reviewer has stated, the building was undergoing restoration work when we visited. The weather was appalling when we visited, so we were unable... More

The house, stables, cars and coaches are absolutely stunning. The flow through the house is good, and there is much to see. The multimedia tour is also good (though only in Dutch). The rooms are truly beautiful, and we really enjoyed our visit, but all of us were very disappointed by the gardens, which we had set aside a lot... More

The palace was a residence of the House of Orange-Nassau from the 17th century until the death of Queen Wilhelmina in 1962. The palace showing interiors with original furniture, objects and paintings of the House of Orange-Nassau. The private "Great Garden" is situated in the back. This Dutch Baroque garden with symmetrically planted plants and beautiful fountains.

The complex is enormous and the buildings are very beautiful and in good condition. Unfortunately it seems part of the outside of the main building was under maintenance, so they had the scaffolds outside the building covered with large sheets that had what the building actually looked like printed on them! The gardens were very impressive, although it was still... More
