A visit to the palace was included in our river cruise. It was built by King William and Queen Mary as a summer palace, and relatively modest compared to other palaces. It was too early to see the formal gardens at their best, and some of them are under reconstruction. There might be a better way to route visitors through... More

Visited this last weekend and found the gardens are not best this time of the year. That did not detract from the wonderful interior of the palace and the paintings of the Dutch royalty or the furniture. Very lavish! The walk leading to the palace was wonderful and quite on a March day and the trees were those that would... More

Very tourist-friendly, beatiful palace, Unfortunately we went in the Christmas holidays and a lot of parents thought it would be a nice day out for their children. It isn't. When they've seen one candelabra, they've seen them all. I cannot blame the Loo Palace, nor the children, but parents should know better, So it was overcrowded and noisy, but still... More

Since the management changed the palace is so much more visitor-friendly. more relaxed and not giving the feeling: "this is just for the upper-class". very nice historic things to see and the way it was decorated is very nicely done: starting with the oldest inhabitants to the newer ones (and even the bathroom and toilet of the former queen wilhelmina... A very beautiful place to visit and see how the royals lifted. The stables and garage are very interesting with all the cars and gouaches. When it is not too crowded it is a wonderful garden to walk around. And inside there is a lot to see.

I was pleasantly surprised! Visiting the palace, gardens, exhibitions and having lunch and a coffee break took up a whole day. i thought it was well done, and the palace's history and exhibitions were all relevant and interesting. The gardens are perfectly manicured and very pretty to wonder around. The highlight for me though was the audio guide tour that... More

But It will cost money. Starting with parking the car for a unified day tariff of 5 Euro, not included in the entrance fee of 14.50 Euro per person. There is more not included in the entrance fee. Plenty of parking and good signposting - pay for parking when you pay for your tickets Worth getting audio guide (available in English) Reasonably priced restaurant and cafe Lots of history, stables are almost as impressive as the palace!
