Very well set up visitors' center with a nice movie as introduction. Our guide di. dan excellent job explaining everything in english and dutch. Especially for the men in our group this was an interesting tour, but it is always good to know how they manage the water.

We went there in June with family and friends, i.e. a group of 35 and had a very interesting and rewarding visit. Starting in the very well done new visitor center and watching a short but even for the kinds interesting 3D movie, we then had two great and very skilled guides walk us through the Pump station - "het... Run by professionals and enthusiastic volunteers. Beautiful building with a original steam engines in perfect working conditions. We had the good fortune that the pumping station was running when we visited, so everything was turning and thumping and hissing. Beautiful!

This was a very interesting and rewarding visit. We enjoyed every minute of it. The newly opened visitors centre is superb and very entertaining. They firstly introduce the Pumping station through a short 3D film and then you can walk around the centre, learning more about the water management in the Netherlands. Even though most inscriptions are in Dutch, you... More

I really wanted to give 5 stars to this review as I am sure the site is superb. My rating is based our experience of (not) accessing the museum. We drove up from Eindhoven with friends from the UK and took the opportunity to locate the site, particularly as it was within a short drive from our hotel in Bolsward.... More
