What a great collection of wildlife from all over the world and beautifully displayed. Very interactive for those with active little ones: microscopes, listening devices, films and play area. An excellent display of fossil findings and creatures from the past. Just a little hike up from the city centre.

If you still dont know where to go with your kids on a rainy day, this is a place to be. It's free of charge and collection is quite big.

Took my 8 and 10 year old there for a few hours. There are lots of stuffed animals to look at, earphones to listen to, and microscopes to peer through. Plus the fossil collection too. Well worth a visit!

Enjoyable place especially for kids and animal lovers...The museum houses several stuffed animals which was amazingly place and well maintained. Exhibitions, movies all in one place- quite unique and interesting. You can even listen to sounds the birds make using a device placed nearby. My 6 year old son liked it a lot so were we. The entry is free... More

My family and I stopped by this museum recently on a weekday afternoon a couple of hours before closing. The museum is quiet and very well organized. I was surprised by the sheer quantity and quality of exhibits at this museum, (especially considering they do not charge an entrance fee). The insect exhibit on the ground floor is terrific. The... This museum is free and very interesting. The basement area has lots of preserved animals which are not creepy (as some stuffed animals are). There isn't really any information in English but most of the displays are visual so it's not a problem. There are lots of interactive exhibits in the upper section.

Its a lovely museum close to Zurich HB and has around 1000 animals and birds in display. After visiting the museum do visit the square at the end of the road for amazing views over Zurich. Kids can also listen to the various bird sounds with the headphones provided near the displays. Suitable for kids and good to spend an... More

This was a great zoological museum due to the amount if interactive exhibits. It was quite full of kids groups but still well worth the visit. It's also located in a great place high up in Zurich so the walk back gave great views and photo ops.

All the Museums in the vicinity are free. I only went to two, both were awesome. They had over 1000 animals in their actual size there. It was open 9-5 Tues-Fri. And 10-5 Sat & Sun. Closed Mondays. There are animals from every continent. I really, really liked it. Wish I had had more time to see the other Museums.
