If the weather's not good or cold in Zurich, the zoological museum is a good option to take kids to. It's not particularly big but a good size for a 1-2 hour visit, depending on how much details you and your kids would love to see. There's a small rest area with tables, chairs, and vending machines that parents with... More

Heard a lot about this Zoo, which is natural habitat for many animals and has a lot of greenery and wildlife. We could not visit this place unfortunately. But, please plan a day for the Zoo's visit.

We read the reviews that it was great museum for kids. Well its a great museum for kids in the 3-5 year old range or teens interested in this type of natural history. As my wife and I are science teachers...the museum and its information are outstanding!!! only downfall for us was none of the info was in English.

Seems this is run by the university, together with the Paleontology museum. A few more labels in English might have been useful. But some great displays of our fellow earth inhabitants. those living and those extinct. The microscope part is innovative. A good few hours with of wandering

Although the place definitely caters to people with kids, we went there without kids and still had fun (I mean, a giant sloth greets you right when you enter? Loved it as much as the kids did). There are quite a few interactive exhibits and loads of stuffed animals. Particularly enjoyed the fossil collection and the bird collection. Not the... More

A great collection of prehistoric and present-day stuffed animals. Lots of hands-on exhibits too, so my young son was well entertained. Best thing is that this place is free, which is so unheard of in Switzerland. Highly recommended to bring a child.

Ok, I live in Zurich :) however this place is a must to see, free of charge and one hell of an attraction! You can dive all the way into the micro cosmos via high powered microscopes or wander through the ages looking at the fossils or compare your mass against the real sized animals. We visit particularly this museum... More

There wasn't a whole lot in english but that was fine. It was bigger than I thought it would be. The best part for me was the anxiety exhibit that I didn't know was there. Would be great for kids or even a rainy afternoon. It was easy to find and free!

If you like stuffed animals, this is the museum for you! It's free from the university, so I can't understand how it can be rated badly, except maybe by someone who didn't realize that it has exhibitions of dead, stuffed animals. When your expectations are appropriate and you don't have to pay anything, I think this is a great place... More
