I was quite surprised at the variety of animals they had. I'm not a big lover of seeing animals locked up in cages but they gone out and made the enclosures as big and as comfortable for the animals as possible. Quite a big Zoo and the staff are very friendly and eager to show you around. Was quite impressed!

We have just come back from visiting Zurich Zoo and thought it was a very good day out. The rain forest area is better than the Eden projects, also the Elephant area was good. There are some "tired" areas but overall very good day. We used the Zurich card to get a discount into the zoo and got the no... More

A short easy tram ride takes you to the zoo which unlike most of Zurich is not horrendously expensive. Well worth a trip, particularly on a Sunday.

Zurich zoo is one of the nicer ones I have visited in the last years. I have been in Shanghai, in Saigon, Bangkok and some others in Europe and this has been the nicest one. They always try to extend the areas for the animals and yes because they got large areas, the animals are sometimes not visible. But that's... More

We had never seen british otters up close, a tiger drinking water, an urang utan creche, a fight between alpacas or an anteater walking so close by. The elephant enclosure is The Ritz for them. Highly recommend.

After many years I returned to the Zurich Zoo for a visit, and what a treat! I recommend to buy the ticket online (in particular on sunny weekend, this saved us at least 1 hr. queuing for a ticket. Loved the improved layout of the animal areas, and a pleasure with or without children

the zoo is located lil far but easy to take tram and go. it has several layers so kids wil get tired. there are shows, feeding sessions, snake and other documentaries and info sessions. you can take map and plan well. animals are healthy and peacocks are just walking around. few eating options are there.shuts down early.

The new buildings are amazing so for example the home of elephant with their swimming pool. We loved also the Massoala exhibit which is a remake of a tropical forest. Very impressive. The rest of the zoo is also great with many palygrounds for the children.
