Freitag brothers started their business around 20 years ago, using truck tarps to craft functional and resistant bags (originally meant to carry their own designs and stuff when cycling across Zürich). The simplicity and power of the idea did not change over time and with the enrichment of the products range: today Freitag manufactures hand-made and unique bags, accessories (e.g.... More

Recycling is a good thing but these bags are extremely overpriced if you ask me. The container building is nice and on top you have a great view.

Took a while to find. Take Tram 4 from Bahnhofstrasse Hbf to Schiffbau. Walk towards train station and make left. Can't miss the tall stack of shipping containers. I like their bags, but couldn't find a particular one that I want that met my requirements. Wish they made a tote that had a zipper that I can wear over the... More

The container stacked shop is indeed interesting to visit. The shops levels are only about 3 containers high, the rest are just steps up to the observation deck. The bags are indeed expensive for recycled bags. I took about 10-15 mins and I am done.

The Freitag Shop is located near Hardbrucke in Zurich West. The shop consists of old train car containers stacked upon each other about nine high. Upon entering the store, a staff member made it a point to stop what he was working on to recognize me and welcome me to the store. The store offers biodegradable fiber clothing from pants... More

This is a store made out of shipping containers. That pretty much sums up the attitude of the place, which is original, inventive and heavy on recycling. I am a big fan of their bags, made, essentially, from bits of old lorries. Inside, the store is cool and hip, a calm and relaxing place where it is fun to open... More

Located in trendy Zürich-West is Freitag's ultra cool flagship store built from 19 rusty, recycled freight-containers. Go inside and you'll find 4 sales floors of hip bags and more made from recycled truck tarps. Their one of a kind products include messenger bags, back packs and smart phone cases, many with bright colored designs. The products are well made and... More

This is a very innovative Swiss company that is worth visiting. Easily accessible by taking bus 72. Lots of Freitag bags on display, each one unique. Worth hiking to the top of the store where there is a viewing platform with spectacular views of Zurich and the Prime Tower. Very friendly staff, no one hassles you, no pressure to buy.

This extraordinary shop is made up of containers in the industrial area of Zürich West, close to Hardbruke station. It has an observatory tower on the 7th floor. The shop boosts an impressive selection of Freitag products. And as it was Santa Claus Day on our visit, the children were given a Gingerbread man. Sweet gesture that delighted them.
