The Lindenhof in the old town of Zürich is the historical site of the Roman castle, and the later Carolingian Kaiserpfalz. It is situated on the Lindenhof hill, on the left side of the Limmat River at the Schipfe. A quiet tree lined park over looking the Linmat and the city. Great place to bring a lunch and enjoy the tranquillity.

Gives you a great view onto Limmatquai and lets you watch the wheels go buy. John Lennon would approve. Or you could play a game of chess.

It's a great view of Zurich, without having to pay an entrance fee (like you do to go on top of the Gross Munster), and there is also a play ground fro the children and a big chess board on the side, if you like to take time out of your day for that. There's also a nice, historical fountain... More

Best Place to make Panorama Pictures of Zurich Oldtown. Even though I live in Zurich I regularly go there just to see how Zurich can change according to the light.

This little park is worth finding....the view from the wall is all of Zurich River Front with Old Town in the back ground. I have shot some excellent video from up here.

This location has some of the most amazing views of the city center. From here you can see the river and the city's beautiful architecture. If you can find it, it is worth a visit!

A good place to relax and enjoy the view (once you have climbed the hill), watch the locals playing outdoor (giant) chess, and boules. There is a small play park adjoining with swings and a slide etc, much appreciated by the children in the party.
