CHESS games always going on in the square, kids playing and moms and dads watching, and not just in the day we have walked from dinner at 8:00 pm and activity still going on . In January its 30's 40's some snow but the playing does not stop, LIFE IS GOOD HERE

...it's open space...you findall kinds of shops, Restaurants (including the best "Kalbsbratwurst"!), cinema etc. and it's spacious with an open view to the lake, to the Opera house...you can spend hours there...and it's close to "old Zurich", to the "Bahnhofstrasse"...

As a pedestrian you just don't feel save. Cars, tramways, buses....it is a real pity that everyone has to cross this place in order to pass the city.

Bellevue square is more of a central point for catching trams and starting a lake walk, the Bratwurst stand on the corner is excellent and it was lovely to eat this Swiss street food by the lake as an economical lunch in the sun

Zurich has many places to go - lots of green and the Lake Zurich. But if you are living here or visiting you will come across Bellevue some time. It is one out of five big intersections of traffic and tramways and busses. A rondell (round) building offers a bar in the center of the tramway station. If you take... More

The square itself is nothing to write home about but at the water's edge there are great views over Lake Zurich and you can watch people feeding the swans. I must admit to sitting here for a while after spending time walking around the old town.

It seems that many from Zurich come down to this nice square by the Opera house to come to meet and enjoy their friends on a nice summer afternoon. Great for watching people! It's close to Lake Zurich and near the trolly lines.

If you are in Zürich do not miss a sunset at the lakeside, but do jump in to the Movenpick Icecream shop, that is a must if you have a sweet tooth. To me the best ice-cream ever, I always come-by, even on winter days.
