The Kunsthaus is a great museum. They have quite a large collection, that is, from all sorts of periods. The building, especially the old part, is stunning.

This is a wonderful collection of art work - beautifully laid out and a real treat for the eyes. We walked around for 4 hours, it was busy, lots of people but all manageable.

Place has not as many pictures as big museums but has some pieces of different artists, different times and styles. Please take audio guide on the reception before walking.

The current Egon Schiele (Austrian) and Jenny Saville (contemporary British) exhibition was an eye opener. We had recently seen a Schiele exhibition - mostly drawings and the Neue Gallery in New York. But the the Kunsthaus sections exploded with color in a breathtaking range of oil paintings. We appreciated the artistic talent of Ms Saville, but were not enlightened by... More

This relatively small but professionally run museum has a great Holder collection and some good Segantini. There are the usual Impressionists which make it worth a visit and it annually will hold a very good exhibition in cooperation with foreign museums such as the recent Blaue Reiter, Picasso, Vallaton and so on. Zurich cannot compete with Basle on the art... More

Kunsthaus Zurich is very good art museum. While we were there, there was a special exhibit comparing and contrasting Austrian artist Egon Schiele (1890 –1918) and works by the British painter Jenny Saville (b. 1970). We rate it as our #1 attraction in Zurich.

One of the finest art gallery that i have seen. It is also quite big (with so many rooms). If you don't take care you might miss some of them. We went especially to see the temporary exhibition of Schiele and Saville. We took the audio guide to hear more detailed description on the paintings and i think it is... More

One of the best galleries we have visited for some time - and we visit dozens every year. Excellent quality collection (both old masters and 19th and 20th centuries) and very good presentation. And they are going to build in addition a whole new building across the street by 2017...

Spent the weekend in Zurich recently for our annual Christmas break, we tend to always visit an art gallery and Zurich is one of the finest we have visited. A decent, varied collection of artwork covering many different eras and styles. We saw the exhibition of Shiele and Saville, which was interesting but focused mostly on Shiele but the main... More
