The current two psecial exhibitions are well worth visiting on 1900-14 and Switzerland as reflected in its cinema. Howver, the cinema exhitibtion is only in Siwss langusages and may not be something for those who do not understand them.

My wife and I had about an hour and half to kill before a train to the airport during a layover in Zürich. This museum was the perfect place to spend that time. We learned more about Swiss history: political, business and cultural. Most exhibits had English explanations. There is an entry fee but it is free with the Zürich... More

No English explanations near the exhibits only in a book. It was hard to figure out what you were seeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a good museum, although not quite as comprehensive as other national museums (e.g., Denmark's). Still, it is worth a visit, particularly if you want to learn about the history of the Swiss region.

Just 10 Swiss franc for entrance. I think is worthy for those historical relic. Not too many as other museums in the Europe. English description is separately on a iron board. Security guards there not friendly at all.

The museum located near the railway station provides a comprehensive history of Switzerland from pre history to modern Switzerland. The audio tour is well worth the cost. If you have the Swiss Pass you can enter free but the audio tour is 5 Swiss francs. The museum is very interesting and includes a history of the printing press with some... More

Free entry with Zurich Pass - just go the entrance ticket counter and showed them our pass. Were given stickers to stick on your clothes and off you go... need to deposit your stuff and jacket before going in. On the whole it was ok. Interesting to see if for the first time, esp with the little battle ground miniature... More

The Swiss National Museum is right next to the main railway station, and well worth spending a couple of hours. Commencing with early bronze-age discoveries, the displays progress through to the present with fascinating and beautiful works of art, armour, and furniture. There is usually a photographic award section; and works of different themes in a nearby annexe. The building... More

This museum is highly underrated. It begins with a history of man's migration from Africa to Asia and Europe. The video was very informative and interesting, and available in several languages. The section on the monasteries, complete with beautiful books from the period was fabulous. The next exhibit regarding the reformation and the related rise of movable type printing was... More
