Excellent displays and enjoyable. We went through on our first day and found it much more extensive than what it appeared to be from the outside. Worth adding to your schedule

The visit is totally worth it. The history section is a great introduction to Switzerland. I highly recommend it.

I wrote that I was disappointed in the Kunsthaus Museum in Zurich. My comments were in error as it was this museum that we were disappointed in due to the lack of English written information alongside the attractions. Whilst some of the exhibits were very interesting, we could not glean the history or importance of them due to the lack... More

Much more interesting than I expected. We only went because it was on the Zurich Card, but we ended up spending hours there and still saw only a portion of it.

UI have to say that this museum did not meet my expectations, both for relatively poor variety, lack of clear organization, and somewhat strange selection of presented topics. What's worth, I left without much better understanding of Swiss history, the reason I went there in the first place. Quite frankly, the video shown as the first station along the long... More

Maybe it was too late in the day. Maybe we were too rushed. Maybe it was the convoluted layout and lack of English explanations, but I just didn't like this museum. The exhibits were limited in my view and I just didn't get anything out of it. I'd rather have continued walking around and stopped for some cake and a... More

We started our day in Zurich by first visiting the National Museum (across the street from the Central Train Station). Not only were we amazed by the sheer size of the place but the array and diversity of the exhibits and information. It literally has something for everyone, whether you are a history buff, fashion expert, military historian or ancient... More

This place is like the US Smithsonian ....everything from pre-historic times to the development of Switzerland as a modern nation. Well laid out. Give yourself a few hours and more than one visit. This is a "must see" in Zurich.

There are quite a varied collection of items, but it was a rainy day and we needed to take some shelter, so the museum provided a nice refuge for 1-2 hours. It's worth a visit if you have the spare time
