Sammlung Oskar-Reinhart am Romerhof sits on a hill on the edge of the woods and can be accessed with the museum bus or city Bus #10 and less than a 10 minute walk up a steep hill. All bags must be placed in the lockers provided (2CHF, refunded). This beautiful Villa has connecting rooms of artwork dating back to the... More

A wonderful collection of art located in a beautifull villa surrounded by a statues garden. A must see in Winterthur. Also good for kids who get an extra prize if they find a specific painting and answer some questions about it. The cafeteria is also worth a visit, and the nearby forest makes this a great day trip.

This is an amazing collection of (mostly) impressionist art, mainly paintings, but also a few sculptures. The room with the Renoirs is absolutely breathtaking! But there are Cezannes and Degas , and Picassos and others as well. Well worth a detour! P.S. Unfortunately photographing is not allowed is not, so I can only add some of the exterior and the... a great private collection in a beautiful old house, situated in a park on the slope above the town of Winterthur. lots of stunning Renoir, a very nice Picasso and a Toulouse-Lautrec... and more collected from the centuries of arts. to be reached by city transport (Bus 10) and a 10min walk uphill - or by a special museum van,... Incredible location. How can a private person collect so many pictures from painters that are now classics. Some of those pictures are in the school books. It is special because the presentation of the pictures has a private atmosphere. The coffee shop with its view of the city has very good cake.

I was traveling with four teenage children, so normally a museum would not have found huge approval. But the Collection Oskar Reinhart was precisely the right size for a little bit of culture and well worth the CHF 12 entrance fee (nothing is cheap in Switzerland). You can be in and out in less than an hour, and the mainly... More

This is in my opinion the best museum in Winterthur, with a remarkable collection that includes a few masterpieces by Hans Holbein, El Greco, Brueghel, Hals, Delacroix. It's location and landscape around are also excellent

I`ve been to this art gallery several times and it`s one of the best in Switzerland. They have a good range of world class painting from several centuries.
