It was certainly good 20 years ago but today it definitely needs a good investment/update of pedagogical tools, for instance with more videos (veritasium-like, check on youtube) and other numerical things. Maybe less but better "experiments" would be good, with quality over quantity. At times it also feels more like a playing ground for kids rather than a place where... More

Spent the whole day there with kids 2 y.o, 4 and 8. Excellent for all ages. The main disappointment was the restaurant - very expensive and very poor quality. Next time we will bring our own food and drinks.Even coffee left a bad taste.

The Technorama can be accessed with public transit Bus #5, at the bus shelter directly across the street from the Winterthur main train station and tourist office. If you drive to the Technorama, there is ample parking available at the museum. Upon entering there are restrooms and many lockers available (2CHF, all returnable). The exhibits are spread over three floors... More

A world of sciences very well organized and presented, with numerous interactive stands. Good assistance provided by the staff for age appropriate attractions, in our case the 2nd floor. Explanations in German, with translations in French, English and Italian generally available, however the film on the Earth in the Cosmos was in German only, without undertitling in French or Italian... If you are in Winterthur just take No.5 bus for Technorama, the last stop of No.5, then across the street you are there. The most of the thing that they have is an invention of very famous company called Sulzer, & the others, it is really nice for kids to learn how things work, & you can see the right... More

Amazing museum (or actually a hand-on experience) of technology and science. Grown ups and children alike can spend hours in experimenting and getting a first hand experience in day to day phenomena as well as more abstract physical theories. Great for kids, real fun for the elders!

Our family loves science centers and have been to the New York Hall of Science, New Jersey's Liberty Science Center, San Francisco's Exploratorium, the Montreal Science Center, Rochester (NY) Museum and Science Center, and more. They're all good, some are excellent, but Technorama, right outside of Zurich, is AMAZING. Easily reachable by public transport (train to Winterthur, then quick bus... More

Whenever we have friends or family with kids visiting us we go to the Technorama. There are so many things to discover and most of the exibits are interactive. You can't see it all in a day. Kids have new interests every year and understand more of what they see. It is fun to see their cognitive horizon growing with... More

Technorama is a good place to visit. It's for every age and really enjoyable. It's a science museum, where you can try everything out. For example you can grow crystals, do experiments and try out many other scientific things. You can also learn a lot about physics and how interesting science can be. You can go there even if it's...
