We booked this day trip via internet including the seats. There is a large convenient car park attached to the Montreux Train station (we were on holidays and had a rented car). We booked seats in the old Pullmann wagon which are 100 years old but very comfortable with large seats. Anyhow we can just ad to all the nice... More

The train ride was gorgeous. If you love chocolate you will love this! I was not very enthusiastic about going but changed my mind once we arrived at Callier . The tour was very well planned and entertaining. The best part was the tasting free for all at the end. Well worth the trip!

ok, the train itself is not chocolate :-) but was a cool old train car, and good time. beautiful scenery, cheese factory tour was very informative, had a fondue lunch in gruyere and and toured the Gruyeres castle. chocolate factory tour was ok, but they give you opportunity at end to sample just about every chocolate they make. we felt... A trip to Swiss is incomplete without chocolates and cheese. This is a train for food lovers. Spend a day exploring the best chocolate factory in Swiss and cheese making. Every franc spent on this trip is worth it . I will recommend this to any of the Mountain trips in Swiss (Jungfrau excluded).

We are told that there is a landslide and we are now going by bus- a public bus. So, everyone paid top dollars, suppose to have an assigned seat to sit comfortably, and 1/4 people ended up standing hanging on to a rail for an hour ride! They can't even arrange to have two buses so everyone can have a... More

We booked the Chocolate Train via the internet before we left England. We were in the Belle Epoch coach which was fantastic. It was a great day from beginning to end and so well organised. The journey did start with a chocolate drink and chocolate croissant. The cheese factory visit was excellent being told by the cow why swiss cheese... More

The train gives you one of the most mesmerizing ride across the Swiss Country side. The journey starts at Montreuax offering you hot chocolate and croissants. The first stop is the Cheese Factory wherein you go through the cycle of how cheese is made and get to indulge in cheese if its one of your weakness. The next stop is... More
