I think it's called the Flower Walk and that's just what it is - thousands of different flowers and different colours along the lake. The bushes and trees are great too, not to mention the peaceful atmosphere and view. This is a very popular walk in Montreux and should not be missed.

Terrific tarmac pathway along the lakeside that is flower and tree lined for the most part. It is level, clean and lit so is ideal for an easy after dinner stroll. We found that while it was not overly busy throughout the day you were sharing it with cyclists, skateboadrers, roller bladers and children on scooters.

Stopped by on the train ride to Gruyere - Definitely recommend this stop. The Promenade is easy to get to via a long row of stairs from the train station - next to the Swiss Hotel. It's beautiful and worth a stroll. Great views and great places to stop to eat.

We walked home all the way to Veytaux Village (in the direction of Chateau-de-Chillon) from Montreux at sunset. Bring a light jacket, because it gets chilly when the sun goes down! There were swans playing in the water and people feeding them, which was fascinating to watch. We were there during the Montreux Grand Prix, so it was quite busy,... More

Walking along this promenade is a must for Montreux visitors especially if you are staying in one of the hotels along it. There are nice cafes and restaurants as well as a small mall with a big supermarket. The view is beautiful especially at sun set. We took lunch in an oriental restaurant which serves oriental , Indian and Iranian... More

If you expect a friend to visiting Montreux you are likely to meet him along the Lakeside Promenade. Apparently, this is the place where people meet in Montreux. Its beautiful all along...the flowers, the lake, the mountains, the ducks and swans in the lake..My daughter had a great time feeding the ducks. Montreux was the first location in our 8 day trip to Switzerland and I still... More

The lovely walk on the promenade was highlighted by not only the beautiful show of coloured flowers but by the scents given off by all of the mass plantings. This is a walk that is a must for everyone visiting this lovely lakeside location and is for all ages with views over Lake Geneva and not a very long walk... More

I love the walk from Montreux to the Chateaux Chillon. It is about two miles in each direction and filled with the visual delight of the lake, the flowers, the art, the swans and all the internationals who are enjoying this path in much the same way I am. It is my favorite walk of all my travels and the... More

We walked this way from Montreux Palace to Chateau de Chillon. The flowers are so pretty. The gardeners really take care of the flower beds. No weeds in the flower beds. We walked for 45 minutes. Lots of people watching.
