The Queen studio is a nice experience for an hour or so. There are very interesting pictures, stories, instruments (the drums) of Queen and clothes of Freddie Mercury, and a real size rebuilt mixing desk in a separate room, where one can re-mix and listen to a queen single.

Only visited the Queen studio which is housed in the building. The artifacts and information about Queen is second to none, you even get to re-mix a Queen single, free admission

What a find the "Queen Experience" at the Montreux casino is. We really chanced upon this after doing a bit of research when we were in Montreux. Apart from the views of the lake and the mountains, this is about the only other attarction that is for free in the area. And what a find this is. We arrived at... More

We have a holiday home in Montreux. We found out a long time ago that there are no bargains in Montreux - everything is expensive ..... apart from this amazing museum which is free! Perhaps because it is located in the casino, not many people seem to know about it. We visited twice and on both occasions we had the... More

The Studio Experience - situated in the Casino - was opened in 2013 and is dedicated to Queen and Freddie Mercury. If you like Queen you can´t leave Montreux without visiting this place. If you don´t know much about Queen you will be inspired for to listen some of their tracks for sure. There is not much to say except... More

I was surprised the first time I eat there as I expected the food to be so-so. Great was my surprise to discover very imaginative and tasty menus. The price/quality ratio is very interesting. They also change their menus regularly. When it's warm outside, there's a lovely terrace with some view on the lake. The service is kind and efficient.

We went to Montreux by accident, we had wanted to go to Lausanne on our drive back to Paris, but there were no rooms. So I said to hubby how about Montreux, well he lit up like a Christmas tree and started singing Smoke on the Water. We didn't know much about Queen until we got to the casino. What... More

Didn't go in.... but stood on the shore outside (where the lakeside walk is lovely)... but I argue the outside is more important than the inside . This is the setting for the Deep Purple classic Smoke on the Water ... it was from the burning of the old casino that stood on this spot (1969?) and the smoke which... More

A hidden gem. A small attraction but packed with great stuff. You can pretend to mix two queen songs in the mixing desk room where queen recorded their albums. There is a room setting the chronology of the albums recorded at Montreux with original Freddie costumes, drum kit from live aid, john deacon bass and replica Brian May red special.... More
