As lifelong Queen fans we had always wanted to see the Freddie statue, and we weren't disappointed! It is in a central postion right next to the lake and is especially impressive at sunset - trying to get the perfect photo while avoiding all the heads is not easy! A good likeness of Freddie Mercury stands near the water's edge in Montreaux. Queen fans must abound as there is occasionally a line to have your photo taken with the statue. A novelty thing to do and fun!

The Place du Marche with Freddie Mercury's memorialstatue is really a lovely place in Montreux. On a sunny day people sit near his statue on the Riviera and enjoy the beauty of this place. Definetly a place you have to visit when your in Montreux.

Whether you are a Freddie Mercury/Queen fan or not you have to pop along here. There is a seating area nearby to make it better. Perfect location overlooking the lake.
