You come across the Statue of Freddie Mercury as you walk along the Promenade. Many people will stop here for few minutes to take photos. There are many Statues in Montreux to see and enjoy.

I frequently visit the Freddie Mercury statue in Montreux, it stands proudly on the waterfront next to the market and is perfect for beautiful photos at sunrise/sunset (being a fan helps!) or even just with Lake Geneva lapping nearby. It's the main focal point of the Montreux Freddie Mercury Memorial Day which usually happens on a weekend around September 5th... More

Basically, just a statue of Mercury, not much else to it as far as I could see. Nothing to like or dislike about it.

The triumphant figure of the rock legend in his famous defiant posture holding the bottomless microphone stand overlooks tranquil waters of Lake Geneva sharing the same view Freddie enjoyed from his lakeside home. Imperturbably, the statue stands as a magnificent and lasting tribute to a man who will always have a place in the memory of countless millions across the... More

I was close to the nearby market at the lake and saw a statue. Told my colleagues, in jest, that it looked like Freddy Mercury. I had seen a picture or in an album. So a day later found out it really is a statue of him in honor of his stay and number Winter's Tale. Course. Everything fell into... More

Open plaza near the farmer's market, right on the shore of Lake Geneva. The Jazz festival is what drew Freddie to Montreux, and it is still going strong every fall. Get your pic taken in front of this large (7'-8' tall) statue of the first front man for Queen.

It's really just a statue, but it's right on the edge of Lake Geneva and it is larger than life. It is a free attraction and a cool photo opportunity.

This is a must see for any classic rock and queen fans. This is right on the side of the lake, it is awesome. Many people were putting flowers... On the statue,

I was in Montreux in May with warm evenings on the shore of Lake Geneva. The memorial is right on the shore with a breathtaking ravishing view on the lake and on the mountains. You can seat in front of the statue and listen to 'Made in Heaven' feeling the heaven around you with every single cell of your body... More
