I have to admit, we really wanted to see his statue! We walked by it at least 3 times! We were distracted by the whole promenade and people watching

The Freddie Mercurie statue is well placed at the waterfront, where pictures of the Montreux waterline can be taken

Especially if you are a Queen fan, this is an iconic statue, with wonderful lake views, which change with the differing light at different times of the day. Don't forget the Queen Studio Tour in the Casino, one of the best free attraction I have experienced for a long time

With so many statues in Montreux a long the lake, you will find this one first as this is located right in the center. Nothing so special about it, however, I think having a picture with Freddie Mercury statue is a must while you are in Montreux.

I have always been a fan of Queen and of people who made a difference in the world. For me it was touching to see this and be in the place where he spent his last years. Montreux is a gorgeous city.

If you take a walk along the lake you are going to run into Freddy statue. I personally think that he doesn't look a lot like himself on the videos, but it's a great photo spot!

It is in fact quite a small memorial for such great an artist! But his is Switzerland, don't make it too obvious, we don't like royalty here!
