Freddie Mercury statue is a great place for photo opportunity not only for Queen fans. Amazing views all around. Located at the lake shore. There is plenty areas or walk around and dine. Worth to stop for 5 minutes when in the area.

This 3 meter bronze statue erected to the memory of the great Queen frontman in 1996 by the people of Montreux certainly pays tribute to the iconic rock star. Freddie lived and recorded his music for about 25 years in Montreux, including his album "Jazz", recorded during the 1978 Montreux Jazz Festival and his last album "Made in Heaven", shortly... More

Great taking pictures as the sun sets, as it makes it look like Freddie is grabbing the sun.... It's a statue and lots of people crowd around to take photos... but really there's not much to it.

On a busy promenade it's a fun place to stop for a photo. It's not so much the memorial as the ambiance and scenic views around

You have to be a Freddie Mercury fan to appreciate this statue. But if you are, then you would surely want a photo of yourself with the Queen of rock.

Memorial to a great musician. Right on the lakeside, truly impressive. Lovely statue and lovely setting. If you are a Freddie Mercury fan, you really must see it. Enjoy the moment, the memory.

As a huge queen fan, my boyfriend wanted to visit Montreux to see the Freddie Mercury statue. You can sit there and watch the beautiful lake Geneva.

A world famous statue in the Montreux lakeside. Better visit early in th morning because later it gets overcrowded.

Didn't know about FM's affinity with Montreux so a little surprised to find a larger than life statue of the man in his famous pose sited on the lake front. If you are a Queen fan then probably a place you need to go and see
