He didn't move the whole 10 minutes! I've written a letter to Brian May for a refund. Hopefully will hear something back soon

Not very unique or accomplished. Pretty functional. Still, it is Freddy Mercury and hats off to a town he liked to live in.

Always a fan of Freddie Mercury and his music, the statue depicts the man as he was, larger than life. He has a beautiful view of his beloved lake and his studio is behind him. Unfortunately it was not open the day we were here.

From the station head towards the water, turn left and follow the waters edge for approx 5 mins and bingo it can't be missed. I went mid morning - plenty of tourists around but I managed to get a couple of photos. I visited mid-December with the Christmas markets just opening and the whole area is vibrant.

If you visit Montreux you definetely will see Freddie Mercury! is like the main plaza. There are a lot of festivals that happen here and also during the week people good there to have lunch and have a view of the lake. Is really quite but sometimes you will see kids playing around, family or guys from the schools around.

It is easy to understand why he chose to live in Montreux and record here, that end of the lake is so pretty and the weather is incredible- a true micro-climate. The statue is terrific and there are always people leaving flowers and taking pictures. Would be ideal to combine with the Queen Studio Experience. Then take the funicular up... More

~going north to the Casino or south to the train station, this statue of Freddie can't be missed, in fact you can see it directly from the Grand Rue as it's an unblocked view to the lake ~while we took time to enjoy the view, the walk lakeside simply rejuvenates Nearby is another local installation that looks like a London... While strolling along the Quai de la Rouvenaz along Lake Geneva, we came upon the statue of Freddie Mercury. A number of floral bouquets were laid about the base of the memorial to the Queen star who passed away in Montreaux. There is little information about the memorial on site but the views across the lake, ample areas to sit... More
