I've been up to the top dozens of times, living below on its flank. Start from either Caux or Sonchaux, you'll have a beautiful half-day. The only negative is the grouping of microwave towers at the top, which impact on the experience. Choose an early morning departure on a full-moon night, and you'll be rewarded. Of course, you can also... More

I went there with a friend visited during xMas. I general I would say it's a nice trip with the funicular. The views is impressive especially when the weather is good. I was a bit disapointed coz the paronamic restaurant was closed, the price for the funicular from Caux was expensive and you're forced to buy train+ski. Not interesting when... More

Take the train up to the top of Rochers-de-Naye passing small villages on the way up to be greeted by the most stunning views. During Winter relax with a glass of Swiss wine with your fondue lunch.

Rating this site/activity is quite tricky as the view on a nice and sunny day is probably to die for, and worth of a 5/5 rating. Add relatively dense cloud coverage - which kind a came from nowhere and lasted quite a while - it will put a damper on things What I liked: Nice ride up - and the... More

We took our 8 year old son to Visit Father Christmas at Rochers-De-Naye the weekend before Christmas and he thoroughly enjoyed it, after getting the train from Geneva to Montreux we picked up our tickets from the ticket office in the station to board the the traditional cog train up the side of the mountain which was excellent offering superb... The train journey up is lovely, beautiful views of the lake, get to see how the locals live and pretty cool to see how such an old train works. The view at the top...not so good. The weather wasn't so good to begin with, bit cloudy. You need to hike right up to see the best view of Montreux and... More

We went to Rochers-de-Naye on a semi-cloudy day. We got to see partial views, and from what I did see, it was magnificent. There are plenty of lookout points. The marmot habitat is really neat and they are adorable creatures. There are two restaurants, plenty of places to walk/hike. And the train going up there gives great views of the... More

Visited Santa in his Grotto for the second time. This trip is recommnended for Parents with young children or (like us) Grand Parents. From the trip up in the cog train, to the long walk through the underground tunnel past the Reindeer, Snowmen and Polar Bears to the entrance to Father Christmas's house, all wonderful. Father Christmas is there with... More

Lovely train ride if cramped through some beautiful scenery. Unfortunately during our time here there has been a lot of low clouds so we could not see it at it's best. Well worth it though
