Beautiful scenery

Beautiful scenery, specially during the climb up with the train (which is not too long neither). There are many hiking tracks, connecting the different stations

The train trip from Montreux was about 55 minutes. Stunning views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding area during the train ride. Gorgeous views from various vantage points. There were a couple of yurts near the small train station that were interesting to see. Wear hiking type shoes to take advantage of opportunities to explore. The train runs back to... More

Not worth visiting separately if you have already done the mountain train travels in Switzerland. Nothing unique at the point.

This trip by train from Montreux is expensive - 64 CHF return. However the trip in the train is really great with panoramic views of the mountains, villages and over Lac Leman. Take a picnic rather than buy from the restaurant at the top. An alternative and cheaper trip is to drive to Glion-Caux from Montreux and onwards after Caux... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience. If you take the train to the very top, you will enjoy some of the most amazing views of the Lake Geneva area and feel like you're on top of the world. Along the way are quaint mountain villages that I would like to more fully explore at some point. A point of caution.... More

The train ride up was enjoyable especially watching the train change direction going up the mountain. Views from the top were spectacular. We also enjoyed a Cheese Fondue at the restaurant, was delicious and reasonably priced. One of Switzerland's great lookouts.

It is a must visit while in Montreux. A small train will take you to the top of the mountain. Alpine garden, marmots paradise and breathtaking views on the lakes and valleys make this trip unforgettable. Preferably to go when clear weather. Keep in mind that on the top it will be windy and 4-5 degrees cooler than at the... More
