I visited Montreux in the month of August 2014 I got the train from Interlaken to Montreux but I felt it was not that worth. Its is similar to other Europe trains and nothing as special. "The Vintage Golden Pass Line" is still better but I would not suggest panoramic golden pass line train. I enjoyed the train journey Lucerne... More

A beautiful trip from Zweisimmen to Montreux. The scenery of town, countryside, and mountains had our heads swiveling from one side to the other to try to see it all. And when the train descends to the point where you can see Lake Geneva, it is an extraordinarily beautiful view framed by mountains and clouds. This train ride is a... More

We caught this train in Zweisimmen and rode down to Montreux. Smooth ride in panoramic coach, enchanted by the beautiful scenery. Snacks, drinks and souvenirs available from a trolley service but we just drank in the view.

connected onto this route when traveling between Geneve to Gruyere. picked up train in Montreux. This route has Incredible views, that you will miss if you take the shorter (only by 30 mins) route. we truly lucked into this, but do not miss it.

Take a seat and look out of the window. The trip from Montreux up into the mountains is just fantastic.

We loved this trip. The ride through the mountains with the picture windows on the train was both exhilarating and picturesque. We went from Montreux to Gstaad (for us it was a perfect length of time on the train each way) with a few hours to shop and lunch in Gstaad. Great photo opportunities.

A train ride not to be missed, if you want a "feel" for Switzerland, this is it, the views are breathtaking, the ride is quiet and smooth and is an adventure with turns and steep sided mountains with rivers, spotless countryside and towns/villages.

We travelled in summer from Lucerne to Montreux after connecting on regular trains from Zurich to Lucerne, and Montreux to Lausanne and Geneva. The entire trip was comfortable and efficient, and the golden pass sections spectacular. The scenery is second to none and we would recommend the trip heartily. Booking on the newer, panoramic trains have us the best experience,... More

We travelled on the Golden Pass Panoramic train from Montreux to Lucern, then onto Zurich. Even though weather on the day wasn't the greatest we did get some wonderful views travelling through the alps. The train was really good, very comfortable and we only travelled second class. We had to change trains 3 times but there was plenty of time... More

We took the golden pass line several times during our trip. It is covered with the swiss pass. We did not have to reserve and got seats every time without any problem. The entire route is very scenic and a very nice experience. We took both the panoramic and the classic coaches during two different trips and both are a different... More
