We took this train ride in 1st class from Montreux to Lucerne. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We also chose to take the "Classic" train from Montreux to Zweisimmen which had Belle Epoque cars which really felt luxurious and historic in atmosphere and then had to wait for the Panoramic train for the next leg of our journey. The whole... More

I took Golden Pass Panaromic from Montreux to Zweisimmen. As nearly all the Swiss trains provide big windows and good view, the major difference was in the route which this train takes. Zweisimmen is right in the middle of alps and the route is just breathtaking. Pros: 1. Swiss travel pass is applicable for this train also. So once you... More

When I knew that we would be in Montreux, I booked the seat tickets for the Goldenpass to Zweisimmen and opted for VIP seats right at the front so we had the view that the driver would normally get (he's seated above these seats). However, you still need to book the actual train tickets and as our seats were 1st... More

Little bit disappointed by Jungfraujoch because of full of people and the bad weather. Golden pass trip from Zweisimmen to Montreux was just gorgeous and showing the true beauty of Switzerland. So much green and I was really fascinated by the scene.

Originally I'd planned to travel to Zweisimmen but, on advice from one of the ladies in the Montreux ticket office, I extended the train journey to Spiez on Lake Thun ... & was very pleased I did! I bought my reserved seat (just over 100ChF) the day before & was informed there were no window seats available in 2nd class.... More

My family and I spent the day doing the Chocolate Tour. The train ride is long but fun because you get to experience the Alps and see the countryside. The Chocolate Factory was fun and the medieval village was incredible. We had a lot of fun exploring the castle and museums. The only negative was the cheese factory. It was... More

We did this train trip as part of a train journey from Lausanne to Montreaux, where we boarded the Goldenpass (for which we had booked and reserved seats on line) this was a very picturesque trip with big windows on the train that went a little way into the roof of the train to enable you to take in some... 1. We bought a specific seat, which was not necessary even on a holiday weekend. 2. We took this ride up to Gstaad-Sanaan first and stayed there overnight--well recommended; like a smaller Aspen. 3. We traveled on from Gstaad to Interlaken, which was nice enough. 4. (And I don't know if this leg is officially included) we went from Interlaken... More

Our trip in the VIP seats was a real disappointment. The panoramic windows were dirty which made it impossibe to take good photo's. The dirt on the outside of the windows reflected sunlight. Don't be mislead by the advertising photo's showing people having champagne - we could not even get water on the 100 minute trip from Zweisimmen to Montreux.... More
