Been twice. This time they had an excellent Charlie Chaplin exhibition. Good selection of stills and videos. Nice café there too. Convenient for Olympic Museum too.

We made a point to see this exhibit before it ended on January 4. It was excellent. Between the old movies, documents and posters, it was really great. We look forward to the opening of the Charlie Chaplin Museum in Vevey in 2016.

I went to see an exhibition on paintings in 19th century America. Although the exhibition was interesting, it is not worth the price to pay for. The museum itself is quite small (one small buidling - half of it marked "off-limits" for staff only, some rooms with permanent collection having nothing to do with the actual exhibit).

The ambiance of this small photography museum is very special as it is right on Lake Geneva in a huge old mansion with grounds overlooking the lake and the French Alps. I have seen the most incredible world class exhibits here. The little "tea room" is really nice for an expresso and pastry or sandwich too. Charming.

Somehow they get the best exhibitions at this tiny museum! From the Greenberg Collection to Sally Mann, this museum never disappoints! Just make sure to know you can't bring a stroller in, so either have kids walk or a carrier. There is an elevator.

On the webpage they claim to have over 40'000 photos from different periods, unfortunately the very odd house hosting the Museum only has room to temporary expos and they were not exciting ones. Why the Museum doesn't expose its pieces to the public?

One of the best places in Lausanne, can hold the comparison with many international museums: the museum presents temporary exhibitions mainly from the best contemporary photographers, some memorable will leave me permanent souvenirs . The current director will (unfortunately) leave soon we hope that his follower will follow the same direction.

I can really recommend this museum - very nicely presented and chosen Photo Exhibitions. The museum is in a little villa, giving it just the right size for a pleasant visit. Location is between the train station and Ouchy (lake) and hence easily reachable from everywhere.
