Olympic Museum Lausanne

Newly renovated, a great museum to visit. It is truly one of its kind: with unique objects, beautiful setting and tons of interactive activities.

I have been here numerous times for their amazing weekend brunch (which I would give 5 stars for). however, the service, lack thereof and when it is finally delivered, the rudeness of it was just astounding. I haven't been back in months so I can only hope their customer service has since been given an overhaul.

The museum is nicely organised : 3 levels with a particular theme at each level. Mix of interactive screens, and real sports equipment have belonged to famous sportsmen. The walk outdoor in the park is also worth it.

Each display is well designed - interactive, unique and informative. All the equipments(projectors for display, headphones, ear pieces) are working fine and very well maintained. The theme of this museum is something almost everyone can relate with.

One of the best museums I have been to has a great balance between the history, the countries and international aspects and the athletes and their sacrifice. Tons of interactive pieces, probably the best variety I have seen. I loved the torches and the descriptions of the athletes. I also really liked the section on the ancient olympics.

Enjoyed learning about the ancient history of the Olympics as well as more recent history of the games and athletes. Interactive exhibits and anecdotes of famous athletes. A must see if you're in the area, especially if you're into sports. Very interesting segment about all the planning involved in building up the city infrastructure in the host cities, how the... Plan your visit for mid-morning and go through the museum first. Plan on at least an hour or two for the three floors of exhibits. Ask your hotel to call ahead and reserve a table for lunch on the top floor cafe. Great views of Lake Geneva and the French Alps. Exit the museum and explore the grounds with wonderful... More

I have waited a long time to visit and it was really worth the wait. The renovation brought the museum on par with today technology, and the exhibitions are really well done and informative! A MUST!
