What a great way to spend a few hours. So inspiring, educational and more importantly our 3 boys (14, 9, 5) loved it :) Best museum they had ever been too. We found it hard to get them away from the videos and interactive games. It was a shame it was raining hard as we didn't spend as much time... More

A wonderful design and stunning sculptures in the grounds. The exhibits are fun and interesting and inspirational for children. A must visit for all ages.

For anyone who loves Sport this place is like a slice of heaven. Four floors of Olympic Memorabilia and items to show the emergence of the Olympics from De Coubertin's vision. Very interactive - with some lovely outside attractions too including The Olympic Flame. So good - we went twice!

We had a great experience at another museum the day before in Geneva so I was excited to visit here. The museum is recently renovated and well presented but I was very disappointed by what was on display. 80% of the exhibits were from Sydney Olympics onwards. There was VERY little older objects from the earlier Olympics. The Olympics have... More

If you come to Lausanne, this is the not to be missed museum. Being located by the lake of Geneva gives great view and the museum is in a beautiful building with great art work on the grounds around it. The museum itself it furnished with mementoes, loads of films and interactive section for children who love to touch everything... More

I'm not even a sports fan, but this museum is full of history and is a must-see. It was one of my favorite experiences in Lausanne. Worth every penny of admission.

We took the bus and did enter from upstairs, so we could visit the very nice park with different statues walking down to the Lake . This part is fully free, you only have to pay 18 CH when you want to visit the museum. Specially interesting with sportive kids! In front of the olympic museum you can visit an... More

The gardens on the walk up to the museum are lovely, as are the attractions outside, especially for kids who would like to climb on them. There is something where you pedal bicycles and something like a running track. Inside are very interesting displays. It would take a few hours to go through the whole thing; my children did not... This museum is definitely worth a visit!! The content, the design, the garden, the lake geneva view is incredible! And TOM cafe in the top floor is just superb!! When i went there on sunday 9 august, they were doing brunch for 39 fr. But the food is definetely worth more than that. Compare the the quality and the taste... More

If you want to understand the history of the Olympics and the role that the USA has played, this is the place. Between artifacts, movies, memorabilia the museum lets you travel history in your native language. All Olympic heroes are honored. The torches exhibit is fascinating. From Lebron James to our miracle on ice, Americans are honored. Neat 3-4 hour... More
