took trip across lake to Evian. A thunderstorm came up which sent us scrambling to the enclosed restaurant on-board. Even though we didn't order anything (30-minute crossing), the staff was so friendly & invited us to just sit & enjoy the view of lightning & rain safely!!

We have been sailing regularly on these vessels and have taken the lunch time tour on La Suisse many times since the ship's major renovations. Normally I would praise the experience - but no longer - and this is why ... We were staying in Evian and started the day from there. We, two adults and a twelve year old,... More

The boat ride and lunch were nice. The waiters were a bit over loaded and service was slow. The food was good but not great. The boat ride was very smooth and the boat itself was clean.

This wonderful vintage paddle steamer has been beautifully restored. . My wife and I took a return trip from Ouchy to Montreaux. We disembarked at Montreaux & boarded again on the vessels return from further round the lake. On the return we upgraded to first class which enabled access to the upper deck lounge, restaurant, bar and open deck areas... More

We went from Nyon to Montreaux. The cruise was great, but the food was better. Spend the extra and go first class. That way you get to eat in the beautiful dining room and have a wonderful lunch. I had a venison stew that was fabulous. Service was great, too.

It's hard to believe or be so lucky that i go to work in Lausanne on this fantastic boat. The boat was restored recently and look great. I think its a diesel fired? paddle steamer. Anyway it runs on steam. You can get a great view of the huge engine's that power the paddles from inside. Its almost hypnotizing. Looking... More

Spend a couple of hours in times past, this wonderful old paddle steamer hints back to a less frantic, more relaxed way of travel. The bar is beautifully fitted out with gleaming wood panelling. The big engines are open for everyone interested to see the huge beams and pistons driving the paddles. As we were travelling second class we ate... More

We took a three hour trip from Lausanne to Montreaux, Chateau de Chillon, Vevey and more. A very relaxing and rewarding trip sailing by beautiful vineyards on terraces and small villages. We paid SFr. 20 each extra for first class but think I would have preferred second class. The 100 year old steam engine was very interesting to see. We... More

We've taken this cruise nothing short of a dozen times, and it never ceases to thrill us. It's absolutely worth it! If you have Swiss half-tax cards, be sure to bring them with you, as they are valid on this fleet of boats as well. If you're up for it, the lunch cruise is lovely, and delicious, and the service... We booked a lunch trip from Montreux to Lausanne - 1st class. The weather was great and the journey exposes you to great views on the 'La lavaux' wine area world heritage site. Booking was easy and service friendly.
