Great Transport

A great conveyance to enjoy the lake Leman. Tour the lake shore and trip to Evian-les-Bains on the French sife. A fun trip, not to be missed

A 1910 beautiful boat (Although I personally own a wood 1908 one, much smaller but... older !) that I travel on avery single year. Majestic, impressive, beautiful, it has a bar and a restaurant and sails throughout the year. If one wishes to see Lake Lemand in the most impressive way that is THE mean.

I only spent one night here, but the walk to the pier, riding the steam boat to Evian France and having dinner was enough to fall in love with the town and region.

A three and a half hour round trip on La Suisse paddle boat to the east end of the Lake and return. Pick a clear day-at this time of the year not necessary to book in advance. We splashed out on the Gourmand package (110chf each+wine). The ambience is of an age gonebye, wonderful scenery beautiful boat(and engine), food (it's... More

Every summer i travel on la Suisse or shall I say commute. I work in Vevey and live in Pully. So on a beautiful and sunny day I commute back from work on this steam boat. I go 1st class and enjoy sun loungers with a glass of Lavaux wine (wine from the region). This is like a treat to... More

We took one of the boats to chillon castle, it was amazing. Stopping at several port up the lake you get a glimpse of what to visit next.

We got on the boat in Lausanne and got out in Montreux. Had a nice warm lunch on the lower dek inside in a really nice old historic diningroom. Nice servant, good food and wine.

Spend a few relaxing hours on the lake on board this magnificent boat. The best cruise is from Lausanne to Montreux or vice versa. While the 1st class upper deck offers better seating, the 2nd class lower deck and especially the front area are more than fine. Do not miss to stand by the machine when the boat is approaching... Nice, leisurely way to get to the chateu. If the weather is chilly, sit in the bar/restaurant, eat and drink and still have a nice view.

This is a delightful way to tour the area. Use your Swiss Rail pass to get 50% off. They have food on board, but it is fun to bring a picnic and buy your wine on board.
