This tower is nestled in a wood over lausanne, bit of a trek or get 16 bus to nearby car park. Get up on a clear day for great view of city and lake. It's a wooden structure that you can climb to the top of.

This is such a cool spot to visit. When you go all the way up the tower, the view extends towards Mont Blanc, Valais and practivally Geneve. We had a good time!

I really love Lausanne exactly for places like this. If you are a tourist and feel pretty lost as to where to start visiting Lausanne I really reccomend the tower even before museums or restaurants. It was a little humid when we went so the creaky wood stairs were not very reassuring, but the view is spectacular! It is like... More

This is a unique tower, built completely from wood in 2003. It is located near Sauvabelin lake on the hill. The view from the tower is magnificent, however one need to reach the top first, which can be a challenge for itself.

A visit to the tower is an excellent idea for walks in the park and forest, topped with a panoramic view of the entire lake and wonderful pictures! Combine it with a visit to the lake of Sauvabelin and a coffee or even fondue in the restaurants nearby.

Commands a nice panoramic view of the forest and city and is a good stair master exercise for those interesting in working off a few pounds.

Here's a pleasant (and free) way to be an outdoor Lausannois(e) for a morning orafternoon if you are in the area. Climb the 302 steps to the top of this wooden tower that was built with donations from the local community (metal plaques name the patrons of each step.) From the top, you have a 360 degree view over Lausanne,... More

Not spectacular, not "must-see" for all visitors of Lausanne. But if you don't have idea for sunny saturday afternoon, I recommend to have a chilly walk in Sauvabelin forest and visit the tower of Sauvabelin. The tower is really nice, wooden with a bit giving vertigo effect with its snail-like stairs. Nice, informative 3D map on a top. Be careful... More
