Sauvabelin Tower is located in Sauvabelin forest and is easy accessible by bus 16. Take it from metro station Bessières and get off at Lac Sauvabelin. Takes about 15 minutes. You can stop at a restaurant or walk around the lake where you can see funny hairy pigs and other animals. If you are with children they will be delighted.... More

Not much more to say other than it's a great place to go with young children. I'ts accessible with pt, but also lots of parking. There are 2 playgrounds, a cafe & restaurant. THere's a lovely walk in the woods to reach the tower. Maybe not great for the younger ones as they need to be carried up the steps.... More

it's quite a trek from the centre to get to the top of the tower and very steep in places, but not only do you get brilliant views, you also get an amazing building, so make sure you take your camera. If you're suffering from vertigo, don't go, it's all very secure with handrails and wide steps, but the rather... More

Getting here is easy, walking up is still pretty easy, but the view from the top was hard. Hard to LEAVE! Breathtaking on a clear day, I would definitely go up this tower for longer next time. Perhaps for half a day with the right food, water, clothing... hmm...

Although I wouldn't really classify this as a must for tourists, it does make a nice activity for residents of the Lausanne area especially those with children. The tower itself is perhaps a 30 minute event. Walk up (there is no lift), enjoy the views, walk down. Perhaps of more interest are the short hiking trails, the children's park &... More

Nice hike around the city. I quite enjoyed the hike up the steps and looking around the city. There are two photo maps on the observation deck that assist one in identifying what they are looking at. We were fortunate, it was a beautiful clear day and we could see for miles! It was a little difficult for us to... More

This tower is nestled in a wood over lausanne, bit of a trek or get 16 bus to nearby car park. Get up on a clear day for great view of city and lake. It's a wooden structure that you can climb to the top of.

This is such a cool spot to visit. When you go all the way up the tower, the view extends towards Mont Blanc, Valais and practivally Geneve. We had a good time!

I really love Lausanne exactly for places like this. If you are a tourist and feel pretty lost as to where to start visiting Lausanne I really reccomend the tower even before museums or restaurants. It was a little humid when we went so the creaky wood stairs were not very reassuring, but the view is spectacular! It is like... More
