Cute little area for walking, seeing farm animals, and a little restaurant that overlooks the pond. Climb the tower to see all of Lausanne. It's a great (and free!) way to spend a gorgeous sunny afternoon.

A fantastic view over Lake Geneva and the whole of Lausanne, even if it is quite a climb to get to the top! My partner and I are quite young and fit, but it was extremely cold and I have to say, I struggled!! Would probably not be ideal for the very old or anyone with a physical disability, but... More

Definitely worth to go. If you like hiking, don't take the bus up and enjoy your way ... there are some spots where you can take pictures and enjoy the view before you get there. If you are not in shape you can always take the bus. Close to the sight you have restaurant and a nice like which is... More

Great views of Lake Geneva from atop this tower and best of all, it's free! Too bad it is very un-Swisslike poorly maintained. I was looking at the plaques commemorating the people and organizations that funded the building of the tower, and thought that if I were one of them, I wouldn't be too happy that my name could no... This is a wooden structure that requires a bit of effort to get to the top. Fine for most people but simply be warned if one of the people with you is not necessarily fit. Other than that it is nice to have a view of the lake and surrounding mountains etc. Splendid. Easily worth the effort. It is not... More

Great views. Highest point in Lausanne probably. Great for running up! Lovely location and not far from the children's zoo. Closes at dark. Never busy.

Sauvabelin Tower is located in Sauvabelin forest and is easy accessible by bus 16. Take it from metro station Bessières and get off at Lac Sauvabelin. Takes about 15 minutes. You can stop at a restaurant or walk around the lake where you can see funny hairy pigs and other animals. If you are with children they will be delighted.... More

Not much more to say other than it's a great place to go with young children. I'ts accessible with pt, but also lots of parking. There are 2 playgrounds, a cafe & restaurant. THere's a lovely walk in the woods to reach the tower. Maybe not great for the younger ones as they need to be carried up the steps.... More

it's quite a trek from the centre to get to the top of the tower and very steep in places, but not only do you get brilliant views, you also get an amazing building, so make sure you take your camera. If you're suffering from vertigo, don't go, it's all very secure with handrails and wide steps, but the rather... More

Getting here is easy, walking up is still pretty easy, but the view from the top was hard. Hard to LEAVE! Breathtaking on a clear day, I would definitely go up this tower for longer next time. Perhaps for half a day with the right food, water, clothing... hmm...
