To view Matterhorn, you will need to take a train ride to zermac which is a hill resort. It's like a small town there and everything is eco friendly meaning there only gave electric cars and walking and bicycle is the only way of transportation. We stayed a night in a very old style Swiss inn. We manage to walk... More

This mountain as seen from the train looms larger and larger and is indeed savage looking as it has the iconic mountain shape

Not was it amazing we took the wire car to the top where there were many things to see, the underground ice bar,the spectacular scenery from up to is just breathtaking. Worth while visiting - it is a quick train trip from Zurich or Lucerne or Bern or even Basil. Once there you can take a tram or a Cog train ( which is what I took) to get to the top. Because I had a train pass the price for the Cog train to climb to the mountain was 50%... More

I don't know what it is but I could spend hours staring at the Matterhorn. It starts with the wake up view from the balcony of our rental apartment in the village the morning as the sun rises, continues through the day as we ski ( often a stop at the terrace at Riffelberg) to sunset. We try to lunch... More

THE Matterhorn. Some say its the most photographed mountain in the world. And You simply cannot disagree. Awesome from the Cervinia side, its beyond imagination from Zermatt's point of view. Spectacular sunrises, every moment the mountain seems different and more glorious. Add the classic alpine chalets to the picture and its just the perfect alpine scenery.

The view is splendid but you must wait for good weather. We spent 5 days. We got big snow on 1st day, and then luckily a clear sunny day on the next, with perfect snow condition! We enjoyed skiing all the way to Cernivia. It was really gorgeous. We just couldn't stopping taking photos, and shooting videos. Although during the... More
