I liked my trip to Zermatt; however, there isn't a place to wait while your train is coming. We went there a saturday and at our way back, it was 7:15 p.m.. The train was coming at 8:02 p.m.; however, it was cold and there weren't a covered place were to wait. I think the tickets are expensive, so, why... more

Lovely trian journey up the Gornergrat which has the best views of the Matternhorn in Zermatt. Sit on the right of the train on the way up for the best views but be warned this is always crowed especially in summer. The Gornergrat Railway is a visually stunning 40 minute journey high into the Swiss Alps from the ski town of Zermatt. For much of the journey the famous and dominating peak of the Matterhorn stands tall. As a tip seats on the right hand side of the train have the best views on the way up.
