The cable car rides are amazing and the views from the summit can not be beaten. Remember to bring warm clothing as it can get cold even during summer due to the height. And walking through the mountain is a fantastic experience.

Not to be missed! As luck would have it was a glorious day to reach the top of the Klein Matterhorn by gondola.( get ready to be squashed in) Don't forget your half pass cards or swiss pass for price reduction. You may feel light headed due to the altitude so be sure to pack some chocolate or a sweet... More

We loved skiing at Zermatt. Great views of all of Europe's top peaks, great slopes for almost all skier types and on a clear day, a treat to ski to Italy for lunch and a glass of wine.

great skiing location but you need good weather for the cable car to be open to take you to the top.

You reach the glacier through a long tunnel accessed through the Klein Matterhorn. You get to Klein Matterhorn by the large cable car from Trockener Steg, which in turn is reached by a very long cable ride from Zermatt. On the glacier you can go by drag up to 3899 metres at the Gobba di Rolin. This is the highest... More

This gondola is perfectly designed to occupy 8 passengers. Well equipped for skiers and very convenient ride to reach to the top to see the Matterhorn and the highest ski point.

One of highest points in Europe, you can see Italy from this vantage point. The Matterhorn dominates the Zermatt skyline and is one of the most beautiful and picturesque locations in Europe, the Swiss alps are beautiful but the lift ticket cost to see this site is expensive

If you are staying in Zermatt our Cervinia, this is the perfect day-stopper. Take around 4 pm the last cable car to the top, enjoy the panorama (only when the weather is good...it can be cold and windy...) and go for a last ride on the quiet slopes......enjoy the silence.... Take into account that the restaurant en also the toilets... More

I visited the Matterhorn Glacier Ice Palace in December 2013, and immediately learned to take the advice posted everywhere: Walk slowly. The altitude here is above 12,000 feet. The trip to the Glacier Palace by cable car and gondola was a great opportunity to see the area, looking up at the mountains and down at the village. If you think... More
