If you're on top of the Klein Matterhorn, you may as well go into the glacier and have a look around, but you're not missing much. It's cool (no pun intended) to be inside a glacier, but that's about it. Outside on the mountain is much more interesting!

Built into the mountain, the Ice Palace is a breathtaking journey of art and colour. Sculptures line the many tunnels that lead through the mountain, with beautifully coloured lights displaying them. Beyond the sculptures there is an ice slide, that I wasn't too graceful at attempting. There were beds covered in sheepskin blankets to stretch out on, and many interesting... More

If you are a skiing...it is a wonderful option. If you are a hiker...skip it. There is limited visibility...and snow everywhere in the summer so your ability to move is limited unless you are able to go trekking on steep snow. This view costs you over 100 dollars unless you have a half-fare pass of some sort. The view from... More

First you have to wait for the bus and force your way in the sardine-pack to Furi; and then the long cabin ride all the way up. This is the most frustrating part. Apart from that; this part is the most affected by the "elements" and the Gornergrat and Rothorn are better protected.

Unless you're from a place where there is no snow or high mountains, the under-ice carvings in this exhibition will underwhelm. That said - if you've never seen a glacier before this is a must-see. However: don't forget to go up to the lookout up top while you're here, the view of so many 4000+ meter peaks simply cannot be... More

Very nice. We are from Colorado and they skiing in Zermatt was comparable. It was overcast and cold, but we are used to that. Cost for lift tickets was reasonable.

I hate heights, but for the first time in my life I sucked it up and took control. Also looking dead ahead a lot helped. This is one of the best experiences I have had. A fond memory to last a life time. I still can't believe I was there amongst the land of the gods! Breathtaking

The cable car rides are amazing and the views from the summit can not be beaten. Remember to bring warm clothing as it can get cold even during summer due to the height. And walking through the mountain is a fantastic experience.
