Arriving at the top you find yourself a little breathless and it takes a little while to acclimatise to this. Then a short walk up to the chalet where you can get a lovely meal or snack. We sat outside in the snow and had coffee. The scenery was breathtaking. It was just before ski season so only a little... More

Great to get shuttled to the middle of the mountain, practical, etc., but get there early as there are some epic lines in high season.

You can enjoy the effortless ride all the way to the top. Great place for people who go there and Ski. Beware of high altitude sickness. You will feel dizzy & tired, especially for children.

Skiing is less interesting up there but the view is spectacular. As soon as you reach the top you are able to enjoy a great long drive down to Zermatt. Be aware that wind can stop the top cable car, which means you can not expect that the cable car runs every day, check before you go up;-). Italy is... More

We usually start at the Gornergrat and switch than over to the Trockener Steg area. Comfortable ride and quickly reachable.

I thought the glacier paradise would be slightly bigger in size, given the entrance ticket to be euro8. You can purchase the tickets at the cafe beside the lift entrance if you forgot to purchase along with your cable car ticket. The cafe at the side has a bit of rather exclusive Matterhorn/Zermatt souvenirs. The oxygen in there can be... More

What a special treat to see the snowscape of the Alps all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. Chilly trip, bundle up. This is a not to miss opportunity, but not for the faint of heart...steep lifts! Lunch at the top was okay, with no alternative!! Costly, use rail passes for discount. Well worth the cost.

What a spectacular site. Highest altitude ever we have experienced. Recommend you to go to the panoramic view terrace before skiing down. the last pitch of the tram up is amazing!

The trip was so much fun! A bunch of different cable cars run up from Zermatt and you can stop along the way to make an entire day of it. Cute little towns dot your trip up and the views just keep getting better and better. The actual ice tunnel with sculptures was actually my least favorite part - though... More
