This is a fantastic way of going up to the Matterhorn. If you have a Swiss rail pass you get a good discount. Make sure you dress warmly for the top.

I should tell you I am incredibly scared of heights. I should also mention I live in Florida and have very, very thin blood. And I absolutely LOVED this!! Yes, of course I was sick to my stomach at the thought of taking the ski lift and even more so for the large 150-person bubble up to Glacier Paradise. It... More

Though it was freezing cold on the way up, this was definitely worth the 45min journey. Do bring ur warmest gear! You can always warm up at the cafe:)

An experience that you must try. Super cold, with the wind biting into you. Feels like the top of the world.

High up on the small Matterhorn is the glacier paradise. Make sure you dress up warmly as it is always just below freezing in there. Kids and grown ups will like the ice sculptures and most definitely the ice slide you can use with a carpet. It's an amazing place inside the ice'y mountains.

I am an average skiier and I have never ever enjoyd skiing like I did here. April, beaming sun, 20 - 22 degrees in the air and perfect snow condition. Imagine the rest your self!

Had to alter our destination for our hike as the cables were being replaced on the tram we intended. (Off season) but we were able to hike Dow through Furious and picnicked in thr Ricola herb garden. Turned out perfect

We felt like we were on top of the world from the summit and it was exhilerating. The Ice Palace sculptures were disappointing and those at the Jungfrau were better.

Whether was too bad-but we did not want to miss this chance as next day we were scheduled to travel to Zurich. Most of the people might have not experienced it- it was a light snow storm (The cable car was not closed-so hopefully it was below the limit)-Riding a cable car in a snow storm and sometimes suddenly discovering...
