It was a long journey from Arona lake maggiore with a coach that took us to tash. From there we took a train to zermatt. Than we climbed to the peak of matternhorn mountain with the gondola. An amazing breath taken view of the mountain with snow was awaiting for us. Wonderful experience worth the 3 hours long journey. We... More

Matterhorn is the highest Peak ( 4400 meters approx ) in Swiss and is a must visit. You also get to see the engineering marvel of the cable cars taking you to the top. Snow fun activities and hiking options are countless. It is a must visit. TIP : Do carry a jacket/jumper, it might get cold on top. The... More

The glacier paradise was pretty cool. Walked through the ice sculptures a little, and went to the top to see everything, but it was all white! Cloudy morning, so we couldn't see anything. Also, it was quite a bit colder up there. We brought a light layer jacket, but should have brought another! We went down and did a 4... More

i had heard if its zermatt it has to be matterhorn and its true as matterhorn boasts of serenity that can calm your mind and soul. We were lucky to be there on the 150th anniversary of ascent to matterhorn and the place was buzz with energy and life... spectacular and a great place for hiking and ski

Should go all the way to the top of Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The viewing platform is packed with people but it gives you a gorgeous view of Matterhorn from a close distance. The cinema shows a video but it is quite boring. We stopped over at Schwarzsee on the way down and had a short hiking. You will have different... More

Make sure to go on a clear day and the views are breathtaking. You get to enjoy gondola and cable car rides up the mountains. At the top there are a number of attractions including the elevated viewing platform, skiing year round, glacier hiking, and the glacier palace tunneled into the heart of the glacial ice. The altitude is very... More

What is there left to say about this place? Amazing, breath-taking views. Well-organized. Make sure you check visibility and weather beforehand so you don't go all the way up there and be unable to see anything. A definite must.

If we'd known how expensive these cable cars, trams and rails were, we'd have bought the half price Swiss train card. We would have easily saved money had we known. Great glacier experience. And we enjoyed the glacier palace too. Don't bother with the restaurant at the glacier and their 2 CHF/person restrooms

I will begin this by saying if you want to do some summer glacier skiing this is a great place to try it. I will add, you better want to do it real bad, because it is pricey and a long journey getting up the mountain. The open terrain available to ski on is rated beginner to intermediate. Stay on...
