Zermatt is the best in Europe and one of the best in the world. You can ski on 3900m and see Matterhorn up close. My best winter time holiday.

Fantastic resort. Extraordinary beautiful slopes form Trockner Steg to Furgg. Top mountain slopes (next to Klein Matterhorn) are beautiful but more flat, yet they are a wonderful and easy connexion to the italian side).

The best winter-time holiday experience ever. As a ski/snowboarding area, Zermatt is one of the best in the world. There are lot of really interesting runs, some challenging red and black pistes, a few of them very long, some freeride oportunities. There are so many runs that a week may not be enough to try all of them. And if... More

Don't miss going to the Matterhorn from zermatt. Take the cogwheel train up to the top . The scenery is spectacular. The higher you get the more baron the land scape becomes because of the snow . At the top there is a wonderful restaurant and place to sit outside and have coffees while looking at the amazing view. Lots... More

Zermatt skiing is advertised as 365 days a year. Not true. I have skied several times in winter but this was my first time trying summer skiing. My experience with winter skiing is that they have so many slopes that something is always bound to be open no matter how bad the weather is. Unfortunately, the same does not apply... More

Not one review mentioned that they close the mountain for skiing. We traveled all the way from the US to ski. Walked to the lift, and found out the mountain was closed due to rain the night before. It's 30 degrees up there. It's the beginning of June. All information says skiing is open year round. Can't express how disappointing... More

Great snow, fast lifts and varied terrain. This place is huge and even after a week you are not sick of skiing here. Miles and miles of groomers and lots of off-piste.

We saw a few people skiing but this was not ski season...it was the "low" season for tourism. But it is a great experience to be up so near the Matterhorn. Actually, the photo I like best I took standing next to the Church in Zermatt on a clear morning.
