Amazing ski resort, probably the best in the world

Great snow, fast lifts and varied terrain. This place is huge and even after a week you are not sick of skiing here. Miles and miles of groomers and lots of off-piste.

We saw a few people skiing but this was not ski season...it was the "low" season for tourism. But it is a great experience to be up so near the Matterhorn. Actually, the photo I like best I took standing next to the Church in Zermatt on a clear morning.

Can't say enough, what a place. Should be on every skiers bucket list. Gourmet restaurants on the slopes !?! More terrain than can be covered in a week !?! Simply incredible. My one warning would be to check the weather before you buy the international pass (which allows you to ski into Italy) The summit lifts on Klein Matterhorn shuts... More

Went with a relative living in Switzerland on April 30 to Zermatt - to spend some time and see the famous Matterhorn mountain. The visit was simply breathtaking. It's simply what you call heaven on earth. Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy and we were unable to admire the Matterhorn in full but still the experience and going all the... More

If you go to Zermatt you are supposed to go up to see the Matterhorn as near as possible. You can go by the Matterhorn Express or by cable car. It is an amazing experience even if you aren´t going for skiing. The scenary is wonderful.

That is how you feel, the snow was super, the lifts were not to busy and the view exciting, Sunny, blue skies and skies on your feet, the little huts buzzing with people and serving nice drinks :-)

We loved Zermatt! It was our first time skiing and I found it hard but it was a fantastic experience! I have been told that some other resorts may be easier to start on. The views and the town were so beautiful, it made it an unforgettable holiday. We also got engaged here and I couldn't imagine a more romantic... More

Just love Zermatt. Magical views, skiing so varied and the runs are pristine and well groomed. Lots of places to ski to and the three mountain ranges give you so much choice in doing a cross country trip every day. A cable car ride away into Italy and more majestic views and wide beautiful runs to add to the kilometres... More
