We have been in Zermatt for 8 days with 7 days remaining. We are beginner skiers meaning we are transitioning from wedge to parallel and not used to steep slopes. If your more experienced skier then my review is not for you - intended only for similar experienced as ourselves. First let me say we both have had and having... More

Extremely pricey, CHF 146 each for a 2 days skipass, and you have to add CHF 50 each people if you want to extend the skipass to italian slopes, plus the price of the parking cause cars must be left in Tasch. Zermatt is a car free city so you need to take the train from Tasch to get there.... More

The small town of zermatt is one hell of a beautiful place! You feel as if you are in one of those landscape posters 😀 just take a random picture without bothering about the technicalities, it will turn out great, I am sure ! Me and my husband visited zermatt in September. The weather was perfect! We took a cable... More

We visited here at low season and was great no crowds although many shops were closed we were not there for the shopping. We have skied in the states but did not ski here but the Matterhorn is beautiful as we took the tram up to the resturant and had lunch and just enjoyed being in this beautiful place.

We love Zermatt's beauty and surroundings. We like the cog rail trip up from Brig. The highlight is a higher cog rail line that takes you high above Zermatt for a spectacular view of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks. We have stayed at Zermatt Hotels, but prefer to stay below in ?Brig where the tourist trap atmosphere virtually disappears. Stay... More

What can you say about skiing in October, other than a gift?! In the process, getting a ride up the Klein Matterhorn and the views. Spent a day, watching the Olympians from the many teams flying by in other areas while enjoying several runs. Dress warmly, it is like mid-winter if it is snowing and windy.

Some time ago we skied in Zermatt. We took a horse drawn sleigh to the lift every day. I remember one day, when we skied with a group of people from Quebec. We skied fast around the Matterhorn on great snow. It was a memorable day. Later we skied into italy and had lunch before taking the cable car back... More

I have never skied in my life but just went to visit the place in late summer...It is the most beautiful place I've visited on earth.. The views are fabulous on our way to the top and when you get to the top you get breathtaking views of Matterhorn..I would certainly go again if I get the chance ...

After few years in St.Moritz, we followed idea from a friend... and went to Zermatt. When you notice hotels from Julen, Zurbriggen... and other world top skiers... it is obvious that Zermatt is one of the best ski locations in the world. Zermatt: nice slopes, perfect views (during nice weather), not crowd... St:Moritz: nice slopes in the morning, more expensive.
