It was worth the hair pin turns to drive up there. No charge for park entry nor parking. Views are spectacular. No flowering plants to speak of in mid June.

An amazing place to visit in May - full of Azaleas of different colours and lots of other flowers too. It's free entry and well worth the 10 minute stroll from the end of the bus route.

We discovered this beautiful parc by surprise during our hike from San Salvatore to Morcote. We were absolutely amazed by the beauty of all the azaleas, rhododendrons and conifers. This is the most beautiful botanical garden and it is free of charge, what a treat. The panoramc view is also fantastic.

February is not the best time to see the park - another month or so and it becomes quite remarkable but at any time of year the proximity to the lake makes it quite something and in winter it is a really atmospheric vibe.

We loved wandering through this park. The vibrantly coloured flower beds with the lake glimmering behind, are stunning and draw your gaze across the water to the mountains beyond. It is not a huge botanical garden, however it is well laid out and has many small walks, grassy areas and seating. A peaceful and pleasant place to spend a few... More

We love to visit botanical gardens and this park is one of our all time favorites. Wear comfortable shoes and don't forget your camera! The park features beautiful blooming azaleas and rhododendrons in multiple colors. The park is filled with wonderful scents while these shrubs are in bloom. The park is multiple levels and offers panoramic views of the mountains... More

This is a must if you are in Lugano. Catch the bus to Carona and walk the 15 min to the park and then why not continue to Morcote on well marked footpaths. You can have a drink/ food stop at Alpe Vicania.
