It was very nice and relaxing to ride the tram around and see the city. The price was great and the amount of time spent was just right.

We had a half day trip to Lugano, and found this a fun way to see the town. It was a very hot day, and there was great appeal in sitting in a shady carriage, and being driven along the lakeshore and around the town. You get to see most of the main sites during this (approx) forty-five minute train... More

The driver told us things like, "Here's the Plaza and the fountain"..."This is Paradiso and the boats". We learned nothing about the history or the architecture or the sculptures we passed. Very disappointing.

My wife and I were travelling as part of a group and didn't have a lot of time to get to know Lugano. The road train was cute and provided an excellent overview of the City. The trip took approximately an hour to complete and took in all aspects including a drive along the lake front. If you have little... More

My husband and I were on a group tour to Lugano. We didn't have much time so had the trip planned out perfectly when it came to timing. It was a rainy day so we were the only ones on the train. They dropped us off at Monte Bre. We waited for the 1:05 train at that pick up -... More

This little train runs every half an hour and goes to the main points of interest in this small city that is almost non touristic or at least no tourist when we were here (May 2014), the train had a family of 4 and both of us and that was it. We enjoyed the ride, the explanation of the main... More

This was a good way to admire Lugano and some of its main sights in the limited time we had here. The little train took us on a comprehensive drive around the City, stopping off to drop and pick up passengers at a few well selected points. In a little over one hour we had a good tour of the... We took a train with open carriages from Piazza Manzoni. In one hour, we saw the waterfront and neighborhoods of the city. The train makes a stop at the funicular to Monte Bre and San Salvatore. Departures every half hour at 00 and 30 minutes. Schedule and Information for 2013 http://www.lugano.ch/dms/site-lugano/documenti-vari/Trenino-2011/TTL_flyer_web_2013.pdf

This is quite an enjoyable ride - act like a tourist and see the town from a different view point. It is also a good way to get through Lugano when it rains and no one explains the public transport system to you (which has been hopelessly ruined by the decision to renew the system, talk about arriving late to...
