The funicular trip from Paridiso to the summit is fantastic. Once you get there, the views are spectacular. Not to be missed!

The view was great - although you need good weather. Not too much to do while you are up there except get to the top of the tower and take pictures - unless you are a hiker and want to hike down.

Take the bus from Lugano to Paradiso and go up the cable car. Lovely view of the lake from the top and an old church to explore and the restaurant terrace to sit on. Walking down to Morcote took us longer then the time on the sign post and some of the sign posting on the way was confusing.

We took the funicular up the mountain, visited the museum and enjoyed the view, and then had lunch at the restaurant -- which proved to be a very nice meal with a fabulous view. Altogether, an experience that will not be forgotten.

Easily access by Funicular from Paradiso you get on the top of this mountain and get 360 degrees view of Lugano lake. Amazing. We went late afternoon 6pm and stayed over for dinner at the restaurant and watch changing of the lighting and incredible sunset. Food was very good accompanied by great piano/singer player. Unforgettable experience

San Salvatore is an absolute must, if you visit the italian part of Switzerland. The access from the railwaystation of Lugano is easy. Take Bus 2 to Paraiso. Get out in Gereta and walk to the station of the funicolare next to Ibis Hotel. In 15 minutes you are in the top and the view from there is gorgeous. Wall... More

Nice view but it costs a mint, it's old, hot and cramped. You'll wait ages for tickets and longer for the funicular and when you do get up there you find.....nothing at the top....just rubble and sharp dangerous metal spikes and bars. Monte Bre has more to offer over all although the view is different.
