Definitely "a must see" place, breathtaking view!!! We paid 14 chf with halbtax card for the two way ticket, and it was worth every franc.

The price up with the funicular railway is a bit pricey, but gosh so worth it! You wil see Lugano getting smaller and smaller as you go up the Monte. We walked down the mountain in the forest for about 2h30 by foot and could stop to watch Lugano from different angles. Very calm, lovely walk to do with your... More

Great place to see Lugano and Swiss Alps . Nice restaurant with views and food is delicious ( we had pasta and risotto , very tasty ) . There is museum San Salvatore small but nice ( art and objects of Arch confraternity of God , geology, ....) . The church roof offers a stunning panoramic view . There is... More

In my opinion, relax and enjoy the scenery but skip the food, if forced to pay for sitting down, just ask for coffee, the service is OK, but the expectation of tasty food is out of the window.

We dropped into the tourist centre who nonchalantly told us to catch the bus up to the school, then walk up the street and you will find the funicular. The instructions seemed pretty vague but we found it pretty quickly thanks to the smallest of street signs. There is a supermarket about a block or two from the funicular where... More

best place to see all around lugano, about 950 m above see, can take panoramic pics from above the church. The cable care works from 125 years....

We went on a beautiful day and were rewarded with spectacular views. We spent ages just wandering about and then had an ice cream to savour the view just a little longer. My only niggle would be that it took us a while to find the funicular station. Maybe that was because we thought the people that we followed off... More

was allured by a huge sign at the bottom of the view from the top, the cable car only gives you change in Swiss Francs; from the top the entire city can be see and the lakes, river of the region, but it can also be foggy and cloudy. make sure you go to the top of the church at... More

There is a number of viewpoints on top of the mountain, and it's a great chance to get a "panoramic experience" of the Switzerland - the lake Lugano, the rivers, the mountains. It's incredible and cannot be missed. The restaurant on the top is also ok to have a rest and a glass of prosecco with an ice-cream or a... More

We took the cable car up to the top. It was a nice ride. It went really quick. As you went up higher you still got amazing views of the city. Once you get to the top you got an awesome 360 degree view of all of Lugano. It wasn't the highest mountain I visited while in Switzerland. Bit it... More
