Dont take the funicular up unless you have tiny legs or an old back. There is a trail that you can take and it is well worth the views on the way. If you start at the bottom of the funicular(which is closed in the winter months so you may be forced to walk anyway) take the road off to... More

Briefly, we were on Buisiness trip and while we were on our way back to the airport, we stopped there for around 3 hours And there were the most fascinating and exciting 3 hours to spend in Switzerland and I wish if we could spend more time as it's impossible to feel bored there and you won't even feel how... Beautiful run from the town of Carona. Once you are up you have a nice view of the southern part of Ticino. On a good day you almost see Milan. It is also good for a family walk or to do visit with friends. The retailer at at the top has a lot of room for improvement, however it is... More

My family and I fell in love with Lugano from atop this mountain. It is simply one of the most beautiful views our eyes have ever seen. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at the restaurant. The ice cream was delightful!

We used to funicular to get up the mountain and then spent our afternoon there. Excellent views and very nice walks on the mountain. Highly recommended.

The Mount is like a majestic tower giving unique view of the lake, the plain and the magnificent mountain ranges of the Swiss and Savoy Alps. A Funicular Railway (Cable railway on a steep incline ) and the cable car resembling a train Compartment reaches the mountain top in just 10 minutes with spectacular view from the carriage. The ticket... More

Amazing view and great history. Probably a nicer view than that from Monte Bre, though if you have the time, do both!

You can take the funicolare to the top! Once you get there you will have a beautiful view over lugano and the lake! If you have enough time I would suggest to hike down to Morcote, a beautiful old Ticinese village near the lake! From there you can take a ship back to lugano!

The funicular was good and the views from the top of the mountain are well worth a visit. It's also hike-able, I would recommend going up by the funicular and coming down via the hiking trail.

Quite good place to visit to spend time and have panoramic view of the city and lake, although it's partly covered by the trees. Nothing special, exept funicular, founded 120 years ago (but now is modern))) Nice small restaurant at the top with good food for lunch.
