it is a nice place to go. if the water is low on the lakeside, you will be able to see the houses and streets that were flooded to create this dam. a famous place for bungyjumping with or without an elastic cord;)

It may be an engineering accomplishment, and looking over the edge into the canyon 700+ feet below is vertigo inspiring. But the real attraction is the bungee jumping. The dam was used for a scene from the 007 "Goldeneye" film and folks still make the trip to repeat the stunt. Don't bother stopping unless you're interested in jumping or watching...

We drove up through the alps with my Swiss friendto see various quaint villages with houses made of stone. I had no idea what else was in store. Our visit to the Dam was only for about an hour or so but it was pretty impressive. Since we arrived in November, there was no bungy jumping as it ends in October. Overall a beautiful location and worth a look.

She was not strapped in correctly and when she jumped, the impact caused her femur to break in 3 places. After dangling for four minutes, the bungee "experts" pulled her up. Despite her screaming in agony, they refused to call an ambulance. When...

Took the train to Locarno and then rode the Poste Bus (runs every 2 hours, learn the schedule before you go) to the dam. Amazing view.
While there, you can do the bungee jump. It was expensive (255 CHF), but totally worth it. The 750 feet bungee jump is the second highest in the world and was seen in the...
