This Lake is such a beauty, particularly when frozen in the winter! However what is amazing is the surrounding town of St. Moritz, with the beautiful statues and fountains! Worth a return visit definitely!

Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring. It is a really beautifully place. The lake is one of the smallest in this region, but easy to achieve per feet. A shuttle bus is offered too. The lake is warm in the summer time for swimming, and the location offers boxes for changing the clothes. A kiosk is close to the lake, a... More

The lake is far from train station and it was very quiet and beautiful. We walked on the path around the lake.

We took off a day from skiing to visit the town and took a walk around Lake of Staz after lunch. This is a nice walk and faves a break from the many days of skiing. Very scenic and you can get some good pictures. Probably even better during the summer when the boars are on the lake. Stop at... More

We were advised to walk from the town, round the lake. It takes 20-30 mins and is well worth it. There is a hotel and restaurant at the end too. The walk is moderate, quite flat and through forest. The architecture on the main lake section is lovely.

Interesting stroll in winter along the lake. From there you can see the old and famous ;) In winter, the lake can be covered with a white curtain. This year, it did start, but then the weather changed drastically beginning of January, and the ice break down and melted. Ducks were having fun! If you want to eat, you have... More

Staying in St. Moritz, this was an easy walk. First walk by the eastern side of the St. Moritz lake, then follow the clearly marked signs into the forest. The forest is extremely peaceful and quiet with clear walking trails. Walking to Lej da Staz was easy and made for some great photos. Further on from Lej da Staz you... More

This is a cozy little town that sits on the side of the mountain in front of a beautiful lake. We went in May and the town is virtually closed so we had it practically all to ourself. The streets are very narrow so I would hate to see in high season but in May it's the best

I got the first view of this lake from my hotel window, framed by the lush forest on one side with a backdrop of the high mountain range .With a fine balmy weather in the summer afternoon , I could' nt wait to take a good walk around the area . It's an easy and a short walk from the town... More
