This mountain has one of the prettiest views we have ever seen. Go here minimum 1 hrs before the sun sets. The train leaves every 30 mins and costs approx 35 chf per person.

First of all, it is SO worth it to go up there. The view is breathtaking and you can really enjoy it up there if the weather is nice as well. After taking a walk for a while, we went to the restaurant and after waiting 10 minutes managed to get a table right in the first row to the... More

Truly enjoyable experience, rejuvenating for the spirit as well as the palate. Well worth the ascent, even without cablecar!

Hike up or down (or both if you dare!) Then eat some of the best fare in the Engadine! Worth the trip

The restaurant on top of Muragl is probably the best mountain top restaurant I have tried so far in Switzerland, miles ahead of the ones in central Switzerland. The lift is rather expensive with no discount for halbtax or kids.

If you can afford the tickets then you should go to Muottas Muragl. The view is stunning... you can see the lakes of the Engadine and you can go hiking or just enjoy the view. In winter it's possible to sledge down the mountain which is great fun when one is not easily scared.

We made reservations a couple months before our trip. We took the funicular up to the top and enjoy drinks at sunset and then dinner at the window watching the twinkling lights of the villages below. Unbelievable...
